Our new kitchen

We remodeled our 22 yr. old kitchen last summer. We knocked out the wall between the kitchen and dining room and extended the hardwood floors into the old carpeted dining room, I love the way it opened everything up. I always had a picture in my mind of my kids sitting at a big island while I cooked breakfast for them. I love that I got the island I always wanted and my kids eat breakfast here every morning!

I'm really happy with how everything turned out, but still need to get some valances on the windows and some wall art/pictures.

    Beautiful- my fave color combinations.. As previously posted , you don't need valances but a beautiful simple fabric incorporating the blue rug and curtains would bring nice color in the kitchen. I would do fabric cornices.. They are expensive but if you're crafty order from DIY cornice kits and save a bundle!! I've made several and they are great!!
