Built-in headboard

Love this look. Can you tell more about the built-in headboard. Does it slide out by itself or does it need to be positioned like that when the bed has been pulled out? Also, can you provide more information on the bed itself?

    Thank you for your interest in our cabinetry. The "head board" you see there was designed so that it moves up and down as the bed opens/closes. It ensures that pillows, etc won't fall between the back wall area. The mattress was purchased by the client and we do not have any additional information for that item.
