CAN Decorative Painting Inc.It's rare to have a client like this, someone willing to take risks, loves color and has really great ideas. We have loved working with this client throughout the years. Almost every inch of this home has been painted by CAN. First it started with the floors, amazing black and white checks, then the walls, pink polished plaster, pink color wash, Venetian Plaster with a linen like quality and texture. The exterior red brick was turned into an instant french country style home with aged plaster.
The wooden front door frame finished to looked like limestone. The back of the house, just as amazing. An addition was added, somewhat of an outside living room. The ceiling a beautiful polished plaster just like the Carolina blue skies, the columns treated with plaster to resemble limestone as well.
The sun room was converted into a media room. The client sourced some reclaimed flooring and installed it on the ceiling where we aged and distressed it to keep the reclaimed look and feel. The walls in this area were finished with a vertical polished plaster so smooth and subtle.
The entire house has so much life and personality, I hope it comes across in these photos. An amazing couple with and amazing home.
Aquatic Perfection Inc.This is a 125 Gallon Saltwater Aquarium. The aquarium is decorated with natural coral decorations and houses many exotic saltwater fish. The shape of this aquarium is slightly different from the traditional rectangular shape. This is a flat back hexagon shape. www.aquatic-perfection.com.

Laurel MountainThe aquarium is the focal point for those relaxing in the Laurel Mountain Whirlpool on the other side of the wall-but on the flip side you will find an awesome entertainment area. The aquarium has acess through the lift up door above the tank for any maintenance. This side features a great cocktail area that highlights the aquarium. The wrap around wood ledge offers enough space to set a drink or mix a cocktail. This is all part of a great beach house get-away where it is always on 5 o'clock. Thanks for sharing Glen! Cheers! The goal was to go enhance the built in look of this very large aquarium and still provide the owner with access to the sides of the tank as we all as the workings underneath to keep it functional. The project had to blend into both a family room and a dining room.
Reico Kitchen & BathDesigned by Nancy Knickerbocker of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Springfield, VA this contemporary kitchen design features an aquarium that influences the overall look and feel of the space. Kitchen cabinets are Merillat Classic in the Fusion door style in Maple in 2 finishes. The base kitchen cabinets feature a Dusk stain and the wall kitchen cabinets feature a Shale stain. The kitchen also features JennAir kitchen appliances. For Nancy, the biggest challenge was to incorporate the clients wishes while working within the limitations of the condo space. The finished kitchen design added additional storage as well as a countertop over hang on the peninsula that creates the perfect spot for guests or family to gather while meals are being prepared.
