Interior design, space planning and architectural details converge thoughtfully in this transformative project. A 15-year old, 9,000 sf. home with generic interior finishes and odd layout needed bold, modern, fun and highly functional transformation for a large bustling family. To redefine the soul of this home, texture and light were given primary consideration. Elegant contemporary finishes, a warm color palette and dramatic lighting defined modern style throughout. A cascading chandelier by Stone Lighting in the entry makes a strong entry statement. Walls were removed to allow the kitchen/great/dining room to become a vibrant social center. A minimalist design approach is the perfect backdrop for the diverse art collection. Yet, the home is still highly functional for the entire family. We added windows, fireplaces, water features, and extended the home out to an expansive patio and yard.
The cavernous beige basement became an entertaining mecca, with a glowing modern wine-room, full bar, media room, arcade, billiards room and professional gym.
Bathrooms were all designed with personality and craftsmanship, featuring unique tiles, floating wood vanities and striking lighting.

Vintage CellarsThis absolutely stunning custom wine cellar and home bar is one for the magazines. A breathtaking display of white and grey marble with gold veins is showcased in the custom bar, sitting in front of a backing of glass and inviting blue light. Behind lie three separate walls of ultra modern / contemporary wine racks in black metal.
This glass wine room holds up to 890 bottles in pure style. This home is anything but traditional. The completely glass enclosed room was designed, built, and constructed with single paned glass - so the expert team at Vintage Cellars made sure to properly calculate heat loss, and ended up slightly oversizing the cooling unit to account for it.

Vintage Cellars worked closely with this client to achieve a vision - and what a vision it was! This custom Glass Wine Cellar utilizes a chrome mirrored wall to add depth and contemporary flair.
Together with the sleek dark wood and charcoal toned walls, bright blue and orange lounge furniture, and thoughtful accent lighting throughout, this modern Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California wine cellar is a jaw dropper. ABQ StudioSet on an 140 acre organic mixed farm in the Sussex Weald, with a history of hop growing. The brief was to design a larger space for the production of the beer, the coldstore, production space and the community space to drink it, the Taproom. ABQ Studio designed a cluster of farm buildings to site well into the rolling landscape.
In August 2020 planning permission was granted and worked was started on site in September. The project was completed March 2022.

This penthouse in Port Coquitlam was not even 2 years old when SGDI was engaged to make it something more than ordinary. This was a typical condo, built for the masses, not for a specific owner. Nothing overly nice or interesting, average quality products throughout. This entire condo was gutted down to the studs and received an entire overhaul from ceilings to floors. Beautiful herringbone patterned walnut flooring, with custom millwork and classic details throughout. Intricate diamond coffered ceilings found in the dining and living room define these entertaining spaces. Custom glass backsplash set the scene in this new kitchen with Wolf/Sub-Zero appliances. The entire condo was outfitted with state of the art technology and home automation. A custom wine room with UV blocking glass can be found on the second floor opening onto the large rooftop deck with uninterrupted views of the city. The master suite is home to a retractable TV so views were not interrupted. The master ensuite includes a generous steam shower and custom crotch mahogany vanity. Masculine elegance with hints of femininity create a fantastic space to impress.

Bath BespokeClose up of the Armac Martin brass handles fitted to the wine wall cabinets. The glazed doors on either side of the wine wall were crafted from Accoya wood and finished in house with Farrow & Ball Railings, while the cabinets were made from walnut.
