This photo shows the laundry chute and built-in shelves we created in the upstairs hallway. The chute connects to the laundry which we relocated to the basement. Placing the built-in shelves above the chute adds an attractive feature that helps to hide the utilitarian device.

Subtle and beautiful dining room in Grade II listed property.
Painted in chalky Farrow and Ball colours to make the best of the panelling details, with a subtle grey oak floor. The scheme is accented with a large feature convex mirror above the fireplace and green detailing in the fabric and curtain border.

Los Angeles based Interior Designer Erika Bruder wanted to transform an upstairs hallway into an art gallery in this year's Pasadena Showcase House. Collaborating with Fine Art Photography gallery PurePhoto, she used a Dunn-Edwards Molasses paint color on the walls to contrast the bright and contemporary fine art photography pieces. PurePhoto worked with Erika to face mount prints to acrylic for a "floating" feel of off of the wall. PurePhoto then framed the pieces in the darkest spaces in white wood gallery frames to lighten up the space.

The entire ground floor of this 70's home was gutted to provide an open, bright, social space for a young family. Moving away from the idea of separate rooms for each 'function', this tricky L-shaped configuration, (typical to homes of this era when the large attached garage became a major component) turns into a series of spaces which flow into one another and provide a cohesive social space.
