Colonial Craft Kitchens, IncFeatured on HGTV's show, "America's Top 10 Amazing Kitchens". This kitchen was designed for efficient cooking, and it looks fabulously French doing it. Designed to evoke the French Colonial period, its 10-foot ceilings, emblematic arches and intricate woodwork would have made Louis XIV proud. A decorative armoire, topped with iron pieces imported from Italy, hides the refrigerator, and a two-tiered Madura Gold granite island features a wet bar and two integrated white ovens. Pyramid Marble & GraniteCheck out this absolutely stunning Azul Macaubas quartzite! This client used the material on the island countertop and back splash. This material can be backlit meaning we install LED Panels behind the backsplash our countertops to make it light up! Our clients decided to back light the backsplash and WOW! The beautiful perimeters are done in a white quartz. Take notice in the island countertop as well, the client used a mitered edge giving the top depth and very modern detail. Of course, the pattern follows through with the edge as WE VEIN MATCH EVERYTHING! Love this look what do you think of this home??
Below is a quick tip for what to consider when choosing a countertop fabricator!
Remember when shopping for countertops to not settle for less than perfect craftsmanship. A few tips: They should always vein match any material that has a pattern or veining. This should be followed through with any seams, mitered detail work, backsplash, and waterfall edges. You also want to make sure the seam lines are not super noticeable. Make sure your fabricator has the right tooling, equipment, craftsmen, and machinery to do the job right. Here at Pyramid we always make sure all of our tops are vein matched to the Pyramid standard! We buy very large material and try to not seam countertops if we don't have to. If we do have to seam a countertop we well-known for our impeccable seams. (Our owner created the leading seaming machine in the stone industry). Okay, enough about us... just be sure when you are choosing your countertop fabricator you ask these helpful questions. White Sands Coastal DevelopmentThe 1,750-square foot Manhattan Beach bungalow is home to two humans and three dogs. Originally built in 1929, the bungalow had undergone various renovations that convoluted its original Moorish style. We gutted the home and completely updated both the interior and exterior. We opened the floor plan, rebuilt the ceiling with reclaimed hand-hewn oak beams and created hand-troweled plaster walls that mimicked the construction and look of the original walls. We also rebuilt the living room fireplace by hand, brick-by-brick, and replaced the generic roof tiles with antique handmade clay tiles.
We returned much of this 3-bed, 2-bath home to a more authentic aesthetic, while adding modern touches of luxury, like radiant-heated floors, bi-fold doors that open from the kitchen/dining area to a large deck, and a custom steam shower, with Moroccan-inspired tile and an antique mirror. The end result is evocative luxury in a compact space.
C-Reese Architectural DesignIn the kitchen we used light hickory cabinets with dark trim. In keeping with the colorful tiles we added colorful ceiling treatments in the kitchen and breakfast area with large dark wood beams for contrast.

The wife, who is a chef and meticulously organized, had this to say about 3 Lights Design's attention to detail, "I'm so impressed how you heard all the little silly things I was saying and got it into a picture!!!"
