K2 Design Group, Inc.Now tv’s are everywhere. In this formal living room, our clients wanted the tv to be out of sight until the Super Bowl! Our photographer and one of our staff (me ) waded through the swamp of a cypress stand to capture a stunning image. The image was printed on fine vinyl textured to look like canvas and then mounted on bi-folding panels that have 180 degree hinges on each end. When the panels are fully opened to expose the tv, two lovely sections of the photo remain in view. Below the tv is a components cabinet with multiple finishes: wenge, white lacquer, leather handles, black granite. To make a striking distinction between the counter and the base cabinets, we ordered belting leather from a belt manufacturer and applied it with adhesive and nail heads. The coffee table is a tree root that was finished in a silver leaf-type paint to provide, at once, a natural and surreal look.

Design by UBERWe creatively extended this property enormously using considered space planning. The owners' style for this country residence was to lean considerably on the luxurious textures of a ultra high-end ski chalet. The family area flows through to the Kitchen dining at the far end.
Laura Lee HomeOne of the few spaces that remained after the whole house remodeling project, this sophisticated living room opens to a large patio overlooking the pool and golf course. Tall drapery panels frame the french doors and million dollar view. Walnut paneling warms the space and retains some of the original character while modern furnishings and a simple color palette keep the room from feeling heavy. Open to the built in bar, colonnade and dining room, this living space is perfect for entertaining.

A succession of everyday spaces occupied the lower floor of this restored 18th century castle on the hillside.
The existing estate illustrating a period clouded by historic neglect.
The restoration plan for this castle house focused on increasing its spatial value, its open space architecture and re-positioning of its windows. The garden made it possible to enhance the depth of the view over the rooftops and the Baixa river. An existing addition was rebuilt to house to conduct more private and entertainment functions.
The unexpected discovery of an old and buried wellhead and cistern in the center of the house was a pleasant surprise to the architect and owners.
