Ein Gewölbekeller, in dem guter Wein nicht langsam einstaubt, sondern in den man sogar Gäste zur Verkostung mitnehmen kann, ist wohl der Traum eines jeden Weinliebhabers. Hier wurde er mit präzise gesetzter Beleuchtung, moderner Klimasteuerung und viel massiver Eiche verwirklicht. © Silke Rabe

This arched ceiling space offers great original features such as stone flooring and open brickwork. The client requested a storage space for the wine collection. The basement wine room must offer optimum conditions for long term storage. Due to the location of the space, air conditioning would not be feasible. With that in mind, we designed a room with 8 ArteVino COSY’s. These wine cabinets offer a suitable place to house ageing wine collection whilst additional racking provides a location for the more ‘drinkable’ bottles. To finish the wine room, joinery around the wine cabinets creates a worktop and tasting area and soft led lighting highlights the fridges below.

Edel und doch lässig, fein gestaltet und doch enorm robust, zeitlos und doch einmalig. Das helle harmonische Naturambiente dieses Weinkellers wirkt anziehend und sympathisch. Für alle, die der Verlockung erliegen: am Fass-Stehtischchen lässt sich für eine kleine Verkostung im Weinkeller gut verweilen. Die gemauerten Weinregal – Wangen schmiegen sich harmonisch in die Rundung des Gewölbes. Die Naturstein-Theke bietet Platz zum Abstellen der Spirituosen. Einzelflaschen lagen in gemauerten Weinregalen. Bordeaux-Kisten liegen praktischerweise auf Fachböden mit Vollauszug. So findet alles ordentlich seinen Platz und das Sortieren bereitet Freude. Downlights, die bündig im Gewölbe integriert sind, sowie die indirekte Weinregal - Fachbeleuchtung sorgen für eine gut ausgewogene Beleuchtung, je nach momentanem Bedarf dimmbar. Funktionell gesehen ist ein ZiegelGewölbekeller für das Weinkellerklima von Natur aus bestens geeignet. Ziegel vermittelt die Luftfeuchte auf einem gleichbleibenden Niveau und der Gewölbekeller im Garten unterflur ist ganzjährig konstant erdtemperiert.

The joinery was designed with subtle curves that connected with the surrounding detail on the french doors. Hand made joinery by Benjamin Baldwin from reclaimed timber specifically chosen for this space (no nails or screws)
