Talianko Design Group, LLCA Cape Cod style home with a backyard patio inspired by the East Coast. A casually elegant Hamptons style deck lends to family BBQs and relaxing in the afternoons. Turquoise accents and a range of blue fabrics pop against white and cream backgrounds. Bronze lanterns atop teak tables are perfect for a little light in the evenings. This coastal style backyard is located in Sierra Madre, California.

Robert Frank InteriorsOur task was to redesign a family kitchen within the design aesthetic of this original 1940′s Cape Cod style home in the Altadena foothills. Working within a very compact space, careful attention was given to the finish choices and appliance placement. For the kitchen, use of a white painted cabinetry gave the space an open and light feeling. The dishwasher and refrigerator were built into the space using the same painted cabinetry panels; this eliminated visual clutter in an effort to keep the space simple and streamlined.
Jennifer Pacca InteriorsThis space is part of an open concept Kitchen/Family room . Various shades of gray, beige and white were used throughout the space. The poplar wood cocktail table adds a touch of warmth and helps to give the space an inviting look.

Casa Smith Designs, LLCThe durability and beauty of teak furniture is hard to compare with. This outdoor entertaining space flows seamlessly with the interiors. The outdoor kitchen is part of the overall space rather than separate allowing the counters to serve double duty as a serving table.

Lord DesignThe new doors are actually old. I salvaged two side- lights from Rejuvenation and BC Custom Construction (thanks Doug!) altered them to be little French doors. Changing the height of the door made it easier to enter the house (no more ducking) and added the whimsy that my client and I were not only shooting for but insisted on. There was a bit of controversy over changing the height of these doors but she and I stood side by side and made sure it happened. Some things are worth fighting for!

We demolished an existing house that was built in the mid-1900s and built this house in its place. Everything about this new house is top-notch - from the materials used to the craftsmanship. The existing house was about 1600 sf. This new house is over 5000 sf. We made great use of space throughout, including the livable attic with a guest bedroom and bath.
