Tuscan Backyard Retreat
This backyard retreat was created to provide the homeowner with a space for entertaining their family and friends. The original space had only the large concrete patio. With the south exposure, this space was extremely hot and uncomfortable. With the patio being open to the large grass field, the space was uninviting. The cedar pergola created a "roof", and the stone perimeter design with fireplace, wood boxes, seat wall and serving bar created a "wall". These delineations separated this space from the grass field making it comfortable and inviting.
