Counter/kitchen table is functional and might work depending on the layout of the kitchen
Fun banquette
Door/windows that fully open into the deck to create seamless indoor/outdoor living
Solution to not knocking down the wall between the kitchen and dining area
The peak through fireplace could work for living/dining room. Not sure if the openings are aligned as you can’t see through them right now
Love the idea of light filtering through a wood slat wall instead of the strange ice cream shop wall in the front hallway
Fun kitchen! Pops of color make it interesting. Not sure how the low counter is used. But, the eclectic color pattern and stools take the stuffy out of mid century modern
Bright skylights
Beautiful transition from wood to tile that could work if we need to transition from the flagstone to another material in the kitchen, such as cement
Cool idea for a new entrance to/from garage with mudroom
Laundry and mudroom shared in a long narrow space, which could work along the garage
Open beam ceiling with skylight, airy and bright
Beautiful ceiling
Outdoor living
A bar counter and stools at a sliding window off the deck would be a fun place to sit, hang out, work on the computer, paint, etc., chat with people in/outdoors
Gorgeous huge skylight
Awesome mudroom cubbies, would only do 4, on for each family member, maybe add a spot for dog leash and jacket?
So cool to see colorful grout. Pop of color with an otherwise very dark tile, adds some fun and interest
If we can’t knock down the wall between the dining area and kitchen, this could be a smart alternative. Maybe bar stools on the dining sides. I like how the window can be closed for privacy
Love the wood grain and tone of cupboards. The table/counter looks more like a dining table than a counter, which I like
Too stark and white, but the curve of the cabinets is interesting. I love the shiny smooth lacquer cabinets as much as warm wood, but it is a much sleeker look that would need to have some personality infused into it with tile or another element
Kitchen paradise. Beautiful warm wood cabinets, sculptural tile, so much personality and artistic style. I’m not sure it’s my style, but I appreciate how a person would feel relaxed/on vacation in this kitchen. I really appreciate that it’s unique, not a cliche of trendy kitchens
Beautiful wood cabinets. Love the vaulted ceiling
Cool vaulted ceiling with beams
Vaulted wood ceiling, so much light and warmth
Beautiful sliding doors to the deck for seamless indoor/outdoor flow
True to it’s MCM roots, this looks like a freestanding teak shelf, not just a kitchen. Would make a great divider between the kitchen and oddly placed “dining room” off the front hall
Love that the microwave is integrated but not obvious. Looks like a shelf in a living room
The concept of the mid century kitchen is cool because, although it looks MCM, it’s modern and new with cleverly integrated appliances. This doesn’t look like a kitchen, more like a living space, which I like. However, the center of the kitchen is disjointed and odd. What I like is the unique style and movement toward celebrating the personality of the era over hyper modernizing or cliche trends
Mudroom/laundry room. Would prefer to have a hanging rack instead of sink. The room is too dark but the layout is exactly what we would need. Would use a warmer wood
Cool idea for incorporating a laundry room into the garage
Another hidden laundry room
Mudroom!
Space saving laundry room can be hidden away
Cool Drying rack idea
