Garden Design
Seating area on deck (possibly built in) with pots
I love structures that lead to a view (tree, bird bath, natural object in the distance)
Small outdoor rooms in a natural setting
Open to use of pavers set wide (gravel between vs grass for lower maintenance). Like the modern feel.
Fire pit as divider between covered porch and deck
Natural materials/palette; ceiling
Varying materials and meandering path with stops along the way
Materials for paths, containment of garden beds (lower maintenance? Not such a natural look though). I probably prefer to outline flower beds with driftwood and river rocks
Geometric materials
Stone slab firepit
hidden away seating/firepit area
Not realistic for our needs or budget - but I think it's really cool!
Mark thinks there's a chance it would be sunny enough for a greenhouse close to the house (instead of down in the garden) if we remove enough small trees to the southwest of the house.
Structure, colour
Shade structure
Plant structure
Possible water feature
Front yard firepit (not near house)
Concrete with pebbles. Uses gel fireplace fuel.
Using posts and lights to create "walls"
Palette, curves, but less formal than this; mix of herbs and flowers
Patio firepit
Swing
Planters providing entrance to a larger wilder landscape
Structure to hide power pole?
Plant structure...loose and more formal (I don't mind pruning). Use of different materials.
Water feature idea
The blue tones in the Aqua Blue boulders, slate chip, and beach pebbles of the dry creek are emphasized with surrounding plantings. 'Summer Beauty' allium in the foreground with 'Kobold' liatris, and 'Blue Fortune' agastache in the background draw your eye along the creek.
Outdoor shower/produce washing station to irrigate trees in back of house?
Some of the plants I love
Sailcloth shade, lights
