LAAN
I like light colored wood. I like desks to not face a wall, but to rather face the room.
Outdoor pizza oven
I'm thinking just for the set of stairs down to the basement play room. Also useful for guests to get their luggage downstairs.
Just kidding Are you though?
1501 Oakhurst Dr 90035. A house Naomi and I like. (It's on a corner, this is the front side).
Naomi likes this house
A house that Naomi likes
I like the side courtyard with low walls
I like bump and pick resistant locks and for all of locks to be keyed the same. Abloy Protec2 is probably the best.
I like the idea of cork floors in the kitchen. I think that they are comfortable to stand on for long period of time, absorbs noise of footsteps for those below, and healthy with low VOC emissions. I am saving this just to record the idea of cork floors. I don't have opinions on this particular floor pattern or the rest of this kitchen.
I like Clare Paints as the paints don't have VOCs , so they won't offgas chemicals into the air. There are other brands with similar offerings.
I like the combination of flood lights and cameras for security. Arlo is coming out with a competing product that is worth looking at as well.
Warema external venetian blinds. So cool.
I like the wired Nest Protect 2 smoke detectors. Just have to make sure that the Pathlight feature can be disabled.
I like the idea of an ERV over an HRV, because from what I read it will keep the humidity levels comfortable. - I will of course defer to the passive house experts in choosing a system, but humidity control is something I am interested in.
I'm liking the Brilliant Home Control system. Just have to verify that motion sensing can be disabled for Shabbos.
For drinking water, I'd like an under-counter filter that has a "remineralizer" that way the water still has healthy minerals and tastes good.
I would like a whole home water filter. My paranoid self does not trust the city to provide tap water that is free of contaminants like lead. Using a whole home system will ensure that we cook and clean with clean water.
I want a grate covering the window well to the basement for safety. I also like the ladder to helps kids get out and the security lock to prevent burglars from getting in.
Got to have the bookshelf door, and I like that this company makes ones that are purpose-built to withstand daily use.
This Garage Door Opener supports "Key By Amazon", so Amazon delivery people can open the garage and leave my packages inside it, rather than in front of the house. I also like the ability to open the door via an app, and the built-in camera and light.
This has one USB-C and one USB-A outlet. The USB-C does NOT use Power Delivery like the dual USB-C one does, but this is still useful since many things we charge still use USB-A. I'd like one of these by each of the adult beds as well.
Naomi and I both use USB-C phones. What I like about this outlet in particular is the use of Power Delivery (PD), which means it will charge our phones twice as fast as a regular USB system. I'd like one of these by both of our beds and by the guest beds as well.
This is a leak detection system that can alert you to leaks (and if you just left water running), it can tell you where the problem is. I want this to avoid water waste. Also, it can turn off the water if there is a leak (useful if you're away). I want one of these (or one of their competitors).
I like these circuit breakers that protect against serial and parallel arc faults as well as ground faults. These can protect against many of the causes of house fires and electrocution. NS: These are code min in NY now. I think it's the same in LA
Whole home surge protection can help protect things in the house that are not on their own surge protector.
This is the same as the Sense system. It connects to the circuit panel and lets you monitor electricity use by circuit. Useful to see what you are using and where.
