Kitchen/Laundry remodel
I like the white and wood combination. We won't have an island, but using wood shelving and a small table/bench as wood accents could work. Also note the hood with the brown/wood edging. These are the same cabinet style we want to use. I'm thinking glass in the high up cabinets on the sink side and not on the stove side (need to hide some stuff up high). Also maybe glass in a cabinet to the right and/or left of the sink. (note: the sink will be under the window to the right of where the stove is now and the stove will be where the sink is.)
Or maybe two stools?
Under the two windows I'd like a 24" wide tall stood that could also be used as a table top. Something strong enough to sit on, but convenient to drop things on when working.
Live edge tall bench or 34" table to put under two windows.
Live edge wood shelf over the windows for decorative items. should match stool/table and maybe the hood cover.
Cute shelf idea. Especially if we don't move the sink. I would put the shelf higher and have an inset light or something under the shelf.
You can get pull outs as narrow as 3"! Wow! I want this for one of my upper cabinets on the sink side for strainers, measuring cups, measuring spoons etc.
Brilliant! our pantry won't be deep enough for a microwave, but maybe the toaster? and other small appliances? Just a thought...
Good ideas for cabinets. Has link for composting ideas. Hate that the sink is off center from the window. You can see why they did this, but they could have balanced it better with accent items.
Great idea so I don't have to give up a drawer. It would be right under the sink where I normally have my peelings and chopping remnants. I'm thinking a holder with a round opening for my current compost pail. I don't need it to open automatically. I may actually not like that if I'm just grabbing dish soap.
What a simple idea! Just put a container in a drawer under the counter where I chop.
Cutting board behind the stove? Instead of hanging skillet?
