Beach Condo
Windows on the World Perdido Key Plenty of outdoor seating and endless vistas ensure this Perdido Key penthouse hosts happy gatherings year-round. Floor-to-ceiling walls of glass flood the interiors with natural light, which prompted Ashley to choose more saturated coastal colors. A beaded-glass chandelier and a pair of large contemporary botanical prints make a statement in the dining area. Ceiling-height, aqua-blue draperies with blackout backing frame the views and soften the main living space while also providing shading when needed. A series of abstract oyster paintings set in a bar niche add to the coastal theme.

BLACK BEAUTY This bathroom has no natural light apart from a frosted glass window onto the landing. It can be a mistake to think you need to paint a dark room in white, it often works well to just embrace the darkness! Dark can be bright and warm. Get the look Floor tiles, Odyssey. Wall tiles, European Heritage. Metal shelving, Maisons du Monde. Walls painted in Railings, Farrow & Ball.

HERRINGBONE TILES Marble tiles don't have to come in slabs; these marble herringbone tiles are oh so pretty.
PAINT DINING ROOM CHANDELIER AND PUT IN MY BEDROOM UNEXPECTED DRAMA This master bedroom is full of interesting surprises, from the black lacquered horse-inspired bench and turtle shell inspired lamps to the modern chandelier. The pin-striped bed, dark furnishings and dark floors also add drama to this white space.
OVERSIZED MIRROR Guests are greeted with a light and spacious hallway. An oversized mirror bounces light around, while painted white floorboards add to the fresh look.
RECESSED SHELVES Recessed shelves allow little pockets to display books and decorative items, and also act as space-saving bedside tables. Storage is built-in, and recessed, freeing up floor space. Having recessed shelves makes the most of any alcove space, and looks cleaner than having traditional shelves protrude from the wall.
MIDDLE BEDROOM FITTED STORAGE Seamless storage frames the bed in this compact master bedroom. The wall of fitted storage around the bed frees up floor space as there is no need for a clunky chest of drawers or freestanding wardrobe.

LOVE the glass doors between room Instead of being centred around a TV, the formal living room faces towards the original fireplace, with an artwork hanging above.
TEAL APPEAL This master bedroom is drenched in swathes of blue, with a teal wall and headboard, and a bespoke screen which was hand painted by Francois Mascarello.
DEEP BLUE We love a deep, dark blue in a bedroom – it creates both a dramatic and cocooning effect. This particular shade is layered and elegant, and works well with the warm wood tones of antique furniture. Get the look: Wall painted in 'Velvet Evening' from Crown paint's Period Collection, Flat Matt Emulsion, from £21.50 for 2.5L
SOFT BLUE This bedroom features the same dusty blue on the walls, but it's given a more contemporary look due to the tall canopy bed and more masculine furnishings. We love the painted panelling. The
SLIDING DOORS A sliding door maximises space and makes this storage area even more practical.

INTERNAL WINDOW The room is light and airy thanks to the natural light coming in from the kitchen, but an internal window creates a second light in-let from the dining room on the other side of the wall.
FANTASTIC legs on desk that could be made for office.

n the living room, a traditional Spanish chandelier reflects the influence of 18th-century Franciscan Missions on California style. Mid-century modern-style chairs look contemporary combined with the rug’s graphic awning stripes and African Kuba pillows.
Open-plan living means decorating functional spaces like the kitchen with the same attention to detail as a living room. An antique oil portrait and a leafy ficus tree in a striped pot add character.
TV recessed in shiplap with closed cabinets all around wide and deep enough for large serving platters for entertaining
