Tamarade
Hailey's room - narrow bookcases to frame mural. I also like the way the trees extend above the wall on to the ceiling. :)
It's Leia-colored!

2-1-2 repeat with decorative balusters.
Alternating knuckle balusters, stained posts. (Good puppy!)
Tall posts, stained handrails, iron balusters. (Yours would not have the white wall and stair strings.)
Alternating twist & straight balusters with dark wood handrail and treads.
Really like the color of the floors and staircase here. The use of the double-bar baluster is interesting.
Again, stained wood treads, risers and handrails with straight iron balusters. (Not a fan of the cherry stain, tho.)
It can be difficult to match the color of the rails with the stairs.
Here's your tree staircase ;-)
Not sure about the tile risers but this gives you an idea of what it might look like if you kept the while balusters and darkened the posts and treads.
No strings attached (LOL). Your handrail would add more visual weight than this but it's a good representation.
Example of straight (squared) wooden posts.
Centered the 1-2-1 knuckle pattern between the white painted posts. The white posts work with the white treads but may not look as good otherwise.
Here, the simple but substantial stained, wooden posts lend a more rustic feel. Hard to see but the balusters are a straight, hammered iron.
Heavy, turned newels...
Dark handrails and treads with white risers and balusters. Patterned carpet keeps it from looking too traditional.

2 single - 1 double knuckle pattern with stained rails and treads.
THIS IS IT!! Click on the photo to check out the "More photos from this Project"... The color of the floors are SO on trend and the darker wood on the mantle, handrails and posts with the white balusters really work in this room.
iron between square wooden balusters
3 straight + 1 double-bar baluster pattern looks more custom.
1-2 knuckle repeat may get too busy when viewed on both sides of the staircase.
Brown bag walls in the powder room?
