Houzz Unveils First Advertising Campaign, “From Dream to Home”


Today, Houzz Inc., the leading platform for home remodeling and design, announced the rollout of its first-ever advertising campaign, titled “From Dream to Home,” across national TV, print and online. The campaign celebrates how people can transform home dreams to reality and the impact a well-designed home can have on our lives.

Since it was founded in 2009 as a side project to help founders Adi Tatarko and Alon Cohen with own home remodel, Houzz has grown organically to over 35 million monthly unique users, 90 percent of whom are homeowners. The campaign will extend the company’s reach to people at all stages and sizes of a home project, whether they’re decorating a small room or building a custom home and everything in between.

“For Alon and I, renovating our 1950s fixer-upper was about far more than creating a nice space– it was about creating a functional home for our family and the way we wanted to live and feel there,” said Adi Tatarko Houzz CEO and cofounder. “This is what we hear from our community as well. Designing your home, no matter your budget, is about creating the life you want to live with the people closest to you and that process should be enjoyable. It’s the reason Houzz was created, and the inspiration for our first ad campaign.”

Using humor, the ads bring to life why people are so passionate about home renovation and the impact it has on their lives. One of the first two spots to air, “Kitchen” features a family imagining their cluttered kitchen as an open, airy space where they can all spend time together and finding a kitchen designer on Houzz who can help them. “Mi Casa,” features a young couple learning the true meaning of compromise when it comes to decorating, and browsing the Houzz Shop for a sectional they’ll both love. Each spot reflects the type of stories that are shared by the Houzz community, and showcases how people use the Houzz platform, from getting home inspiration to finding a home professional to shopping for products and materials.
