Houzz Signs Long-term Lease in Nashville’s UBS Tower
Bay Area home renovation and design start up to grow Nashville presence with new office in renovated downtown high rise

Houzz Inc., the leading platform for home remodeling and design, announced today that it has signed a 10-year lease agreement with 315 Deaderick Owners LLC, the landlord of the UBS Tower located in the heart of downtown Nashville. The Palo Alto, California-based company will initially occupy 37,421 square feet on the 24th and 25th floors of the UBS Tower with plans to continue expanding in the building. Houzz is expected to move into its new space in the second quarter of 2017.

During this first expansion phase, Houzz’s new Nashville space will accommodate more than 250 employees. The company is in the process of hiring several hundred customer experience team members to support its community of shoppers and vendors on the Houzz Marketplace. Houzz is the only company providing an end-to-end experience for home renovation and design, bringing together content, community and commerce tailored for this industry.

“We’re very excited to have a growing presence in downtown Nashville,” said Jerry Kingkade, vice president of sales with Houzz. “This is a city full of the type of talented and passionate people we’re looking for to join the Houzz family. Now we’re eager to move into our new home in the UBS Tower, a wonderful city landmark in the heart of downtown.”

"Kicking off 2017 with the addition of Houzz as the newest UBS Tower tenant is a tribute to Nashville's ever expanding economy and the tireless efforts of building management in attracting a diversified and solid tenant roster," said Gabriel Coltea, the managing member of UBS Tower. "Houzz represents the type of dynamic, innovative and burgeoning multinational company that is the hallmark of economic growth and we look forward to a long and successful relationship."

Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, along with other city leaders, applauded Houzz’s growth and decision to expand in Nashville.

“I’m happy that Houzz has been able to secure a permanent location for the jobs they will be creating here in Nashville over the next several years,” said Barry. “Their decision to open offices in Nashville is a testament to the talented workforce and welcoming business environment that we have to offer.”

Courtney Ross, chief economic development officer with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, added, "We are proud that Houzz has chosen to expand their operations in Nashville. The Nashville region remains one of the strongest and most competitive economies in the nation because of companies like Houzz, and we remain committed to maintaining that business environment."
