Mila Kunis Surprises Her Parents with Remodeled Home in Latest Episode of “My Houzz”

Houzz Inc., the leading platform for home remodeling and design, today introduced a new episode of “My Houzz,” a video series that follows people as they renovate the home of someone meaningful to them. In this episode, Mila Kunis secretly renovates the condominium where her parents raised her and her brother and have been living for more than two decades. Kunis’ episode is available to watch now at houzz.com/myhouzz.

Kunis, along with an LA-based designer who is part of the Houzz community, used Houzz at every step of the process to renovate the condo. She transformed the compartmentalized condo into an open, bright space their growing family can enjoy.

“I wanted to give my parents something special because of all they’ve done for my brother and me, but I knew I couldn’t do it by myself,” said Mila Kunis. “By using Houzz’s technology, I was able to pull off an incredible surprise remodel for them while nine months pregnant. I did everything from behind my computer: found an amazing designer, shared ideas and bought everything from the Houzz Shop. It feels really good to see my parents so happy in their beautiful, new space.”

In the previous episode of “My Houzz,” Jenna Fischer secretly renovates her sister’s home, creating an open, light, family-friendly space. Two more episodes of “My Houzz” will appear in the coming months. Each episode documents a well-known, public figure as they surprise a close family member that made a difference in their life with the gift of a renovation, using Houzz throughout their journey.

For those looking for background into Kunis’s inspiration, her Houzz ideabooks, products and materials of choice are available on Houzz at houzz.com/myhouzz.

“My Houzz” was shot for Houzz by Shed Media and was executive produced by Ashton Kutcher, Pam Healey, John Hesling, Bill Gaudsmith and Dan Pierson. Kutcher also participated in the “My Houzz” pilot episode where he secretly remodeled the basement of his childhood home in Iowa as a gift to his mother.
