Green Bay Packer Clay Matthews Secretly Renovates Brother’s Home in New Episode of “My Houzz”

Houzz Inc., the leading platform for home remodeling and design, today released the latest episode of “My Houzz,” an online series that follows people as they renovate the home of someone meaningful to them. The second episode of 2018 stars Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl linebacker Clay Matthews as he renovates the Cleveland home of his brother Brian and sister-in-law Megan, who gave birth to twin boys just days before the remodel began. The episode is available to watch now at houzz.com/myhouzz.

The episode follows Matthews as he works with Pat Hurst and Bridget DiFilippo of Cleveland-based Hurst Design-Build Remodeling, a design-build firm from the Houzz community, to renovate the home’s kitchen, dining room and family room. Clay explains that Brian and Megan now need a home that is family-friendly. Advising remotely from Wisconsin, Clay oversees a renovation that transforms the space by opening it up, bringing in more light and creating a beautifully designed space that the whole family can enjoy.

“With new twins who will soon be crawling, then walking, Brian and Megan need a home designed for their growing family,” said Matthews. “I feel like we nailed this renovation and I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the technology of Houzz. I did everything on the app, from finding a local design-build firm with great reviews, to sharing ideas, to buying all the materials and furniture. Brian and Megan have a bright future in this house, with a beautiful family and now a beautiful renovation.”

Earlier episodes of “My Houzz” have featured Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, Jenna Fischer, Ludacris, Kyrie Irving and Gordon Ramsay. Each episode documents a well-known public figure as they surprise someone who has made a difference in their life with the gift of a renovation, using Houzz throughout the journey.

More information on Clay’s inspiration and Houzz ideabooks, as well as products and materials used in the renovation, are available on Houzz at www.houzz.com/myhouzz.

“My Houzz” was shot for Houzz by Shed Media and was executive produced by Ashton Kutcher, Pam Healey, John Hesling, Bill Gaudsmith and Dan Pierson.
