We are a Chartered Architectural practice based in the historic port town of Topsham just south of Exeter. Ideally located for the M5 and Exeter Airport, we work throughout the South West and further afield. Established in 2005 as Ennerji Projects by Vaughn Allington, the practice has steadily grown, and was re-branded to 16A Architecture in 2015. We are an experienced, passionate team who enjoy designing buildings to meet specific use and site requirements. Our role is about understanding you, and sometimes challenging you, in order to achieve the best design solution for you. We strive to provide great architectural design which is technically sound and beautifully detailed.

Eternal Kitchens

We purchased a very tired unloved bungalow in 2014 and always knew that one day we wanted to transform it into a beautiful home for our family. In 2017 we enlisted the services of Vaughn to help us come up with a scheme that would provide us with the space and layout that we required. It was quite a tricky task due to the layout of the old property, but Vaughn came up trumps and designed a scheme that we absolutely love and works for us on all levels. As I type the build/renovation is well underway and it is all looking great and proceeding to plan and budget...we can't wait to move in!!

An easy recommendation. Excellent personal service with a genuine passion in what they do and to get the best result they can. Thorough and thoughtful solutions and nice people to work with. Sensible real world approach to fees too. Currently using them again on our barn conversion project.
