We've purposely remained a smaller company, as it's better to have fewer jobs and do them well than to have a ton of work and be average. I am a ranch manager and have hired Concepts in Building to work on several jobs. First I hired Concepts in Building to work on a bedroom addition to an existing house. Jeff brought all the proper tools and used good techniques. He blended the new roof seamlessly into the existing roof. His finish work on the exterior wood cornice and interior wood ceiling and trim was done with detail and attention. Jeff takes the time to figure the correct angles and gives great attention to detail, and does not waste material in his process. The addition looks as if it was part of the original house. The owners were very pleased. Most recently Concepts in Building was hired to construct a pole barn using some of the materials sourced from the ranch. Jeff takes his time and is able to work the natural materials to meet the dimensional materials to create a well crafted rustic look. Both projects were completed at the estimated price, giving consideration to rural logistics and supply chain in the mountains. I consider Jeff to be a true craftsman and he has always been available to give advice when asked.

I have had Jeff assist me in installing flooring as well as I have been a laborer in the past on a few jobs with him. Jeff is a guy who will show up when he says he will, return calls and if something comes up he will problem solve to fix it and communicate with you as well. He is a very talented carpenter/contractor and I have seen his attention to detail on my own projects and other projects I have helped him with. Jeff is a straightforward communicator and this is appreciated in my experience of getting work done at my house as well as what I have seen him do for other clients.

Over the past few years concepts in building has completed several projects at our shop. They all came in on time and on budget. The next time we have a project we will use concepts in building. This guy is good.
