This was a complicated projected involving moving walls, electric, and plumbing. Additionally, we wanted a contemporary design for the kitchen and bathroom. While not unique, our preferences were very unusual for our region. Both the designer and the builder worked with us to complete the project quickly, cleanly, and to high standards. The outcome was probably comparable to any of the high-end Euro design-build companies, but for a much more reasonable cost.

In April of 2016, we contracted with Alexandria Kitchen & Bath for a total renovation of the 41 year old kitchen in our 1891 town house. Although we had updated the appliances and counters over the years, we had never undertaken a total makeover due to the concern about a lengthy job that would entail disrupting our lives for an indeterminate number of weeks and likely involve budget overruns due to the underpinnings of a home built 125 years ago. This was not to be, thanks to the careful planning and amazing work by our designer, Tanya, and the owner/contractor, Georges. We were advised by both to try and absent ourselves for the first two weeks of the project which involved demolition of the kitchen, rebuilding of two walls, and of course, electric and plumbing work. Georges planned the job around our already scheduled two week July vacation, and started work the day we left town. Needless to say we were cautioned against this approach by more than a few friends, and had never left the house unattended when any other major work had been done in the house (roof replacement, French drains in the basement, renovation of the master bath, etc.). When we returned after two weeks, we had a working stove, fridge, and laundry, none of which we expected when departing. One week later the kitchen was in working order and was essentially finished for purposes of replacing everything in the new cabinets as well as cooking meals. We could not be happier with our new kitchen nor with our choice of a contractor. The only regret we have is that we did not do the job 10 years ago!

Georges (master craftsman) and Tanya (designer) were ultimate professionals. They are those rare professionals these days who still take extreme pride in their work and will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. I cannot say enough good things! And ... they follow up after the work is done. It gets no better than that!

I recently used Alexandria Kitchen and Bath to completely remodel the kitchen and two bathrooms in my condominium. It was a pleasure working with them and I am delighted with the finished product. The designer, Tanya Dugan, was extremely professional and provided me with plans that included all of the features I requested. She worked closely with me at every stage, ensuring that I would love all of the choices we made. Work on the project went very smoothly and seamlessly. I would use Alexandria Kitchen and Bath for any future renovations.

Tanya, one of their best designers, is very well trained and has won a number of awards. She has unlimited creative design solutions and can make the most of spaces, large or small. By virtue of the designer's and owner's high standards, the installs are meticulously executed from top to bottom. They give 100% on any job site. I highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for a top-quality design firm.
