AK Construction built our custom home from the foundation up - and, having now lived in it for a year, we could not be happier. Andy and his team were easy to work with from initial contact, bid, construction, and all the way through post-move-in maintenance. They worked well with our architect and interior designer, addressed our wishes and provided us great service, speed and overall quality. We really appreciate and admire the professionalism and eye for detail of the AK Construction team. They are organized, take care of untold details when dealing with city permits and inspections and do an excellent job of helping us with expectations throughout the project. A few years ago I decided to build a home and needed a contractor. We have all heard the horror stories of building or remodeling a home so I really did my due diligence. I met with a dozen contractors in my search for a builder that wouldn’t rip me off and produces high quality work. I went with AK construction and had an excellent experience. AK was not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive. I was able to tour several AK built homes and that is what convinced me to go with AK. The design and quality were well beyond that of any of the other contractors I considered. I also spoke with three AK customers that all spoke highly of the owner Andy- and they were right. Andy is someone that takes pride in his work and expects the best from his subs and employees. During construction, Andy made sure the job site was immaculate (which is something my neighbors liked). I did a ground up build and Andy’s cost was right in line with the quoted amount. My beautiful home was built from the ground up in 13 weeks! I highly recommend AK Construction!

We hired AK Construction to build our custom home in San Jose on 2016. As a home owner, what concerned us the most are time and cost in completing a project within contract promise. And we are glad that AK's team has done a great job. What made AK's team more unique are that 1. They are extremely responsive in our inquiries. 2. They not only build the house, but also help client choose material, make design decisions along the course. I'd highly recommend AK and will work with them again if future opportunities arise.

I have hired AK Construction for 4 projects, including 2 custom homes located in Sunnyvale & Los Altos. AK is extremely well organized and keeps projects on-time and on-budget. It is not at all uncommon to see 2 or 3 trades working around each other at the same time and they consistently schedule inspections ahead of time to ensure there is no downtime. AK managed to complete a new home for me in about 4 months. I highly recommend AK Construction.
