Ammirato Construction has completed multiple renovations / additions for me over the last 13 years. I have always been extremely pleased with the projects. Complete Kitchen Remodel I had an outstanding experience with Ammirato Construction from the moment I placed my first phone call to schedule an interview, all through planning, construction and completion/follow up of my kitchen remodel. I was especially impressed and appreciated how organized they were. Ammirato used Buildertrend, a construction application. This enables the client complete transparency of the project. You can see all email communications, financial transactions, daily work schedule and so much more. I found all their trade contractors to be professional, friendly and tidy. They kept a immaculate job site. I found John Ammirato to be a perfectionist with a relentless eye for detail. The Ammirato Construction team did a great job building us a new 2-car garage. We used Ammirato constructions before for a kitchen remodel and also for a bathroom extension from a half to a full bath. All three projects turned out great, well designed, planned, and executed. John has great attention to detail, and always finds a quick and good solution when confronted with additional requests or unforeseen challenges. His team members are skilled, reliable and very friendly. Our garage project was managed well by Juvenal, but John had always good oversight and did regular on-site checks. We were also happy with the performance of all subcontractors (foundation pouring, roofing, electrical, painting) and in general with the clear and timely communication. After completion of the garage, John’s team also installed us a nice, well functioning attic fan in the house. We highly recommend Ammirato Construction.

From navigating Palo Alto’s horribly complicated Planning and Development Department, to reworking faulty architectural and structural plans, then demolition through.. DREAM HOME, you guys did it all. Building a new home is incredibly stressful so hiring an organized professional is a must and John just might be the most organized contractor on the planet!

Great team. Knowledgeable, responsive, reliable, great end product. Scope- interior remodel: interior walls, ceiling, floors, kitchen, dining room, kitchen fireplace, living room fireplace. We had to deal with a COVID pause mid-project, but as soon as restrictions lifted John made sure his team was right back where they left off. Very positive experience. Highly recommend.

Ammirato built the 640sf addition to our home along with remodeling most of the interior. We loved everything about our newly remodeled home. John and his team were very thorough and professional throughout the remodel. We are happy we chose Ammirato for our addition.

In Oct 2015, we purchased our home. It was far from livable, and it’s current state did not meet the ambitions we had for it. We started off the interview process, talked to designers, builders, and other design+build firms. We chose Ammirato Construction for a couple of reasons: - Listened and receptive to our ideas: John was very open to the ideas we had in mind for the home. - Was actually excited about our project, and showed passion for the space we wanted to create. Other builds and designers we interviewed seemed less engaged, which is off-putting when you’re trying to build your forever home. - Lastly, the logistics of having a design and build firm in one house. This helped us greatly, as we didn’t have to shop around for bids or other contractors. We built the trust during the design process, and that greatly helped us negotiate the build phase challenges. In hindsight, after demo, design, and build, we’re very happy with what was achieved. We have a home that demonstrates our vision, and all thanks to John and his team at Ammirato Construction. Ammirato constructions did a perfect job on our kitchen remodel a few years earlier and we now used them again for a bathroom extension from a half to a full bath. The project was not without challenges as it was a small room that needed moving a wall that was part of an inner supportive wall and required as such extra support for a 2-story house. Thanks to John, with his excellent attention to detail and challenge solving talent and his supporting team of Matt our project manager, Nicole the designer, and the skilled and professional subcontractors, it turned out very well. John, his team, and all of their sub-contractors are professional, courteous, and prompt. We have used Ammirato Construction for all three separate phases to complete the entire remodel of our home. We have our adult disabled son living with us and the Ammirato team went above and beyond to insure the least disruption to his routine by compressing our project schedule and maximizing the utilization of his various trades. My wife and I hired Ammirato Construction for a kitchen/family room remodel about six years ago. They were so good to work with and did such a good job that we hired them for a second remodel phase throughout the rest of the house. A few days ago, we were having a small problem with a trash and recycle bin slide and door. I sent an email to John Ammirato and asked if one of their installers could drop by and try to fix it. A few days later, Matt came by and fixed it quickly. Dealing with this company has been a very positive experience for us -- it is like being part of the family. We can't say enough good things about our experiences with them.

After years of putting off our kitchen remodel, we were fortunate to utilize John Ammirato Construction to perform the renovation. It is our first major remodel and we couldn’t be more pleased. From our first consultation to finish they were very professional in advice and handling every phase of the project … from design, permits, construction to final inspection. John and his staff were very knowledgeable and great to work with, making those hard design choices easy. They were professional in every aspect: focus on quality workmanship, being punctual, friendly and proficient subcontractors, daily cleanup, and attention to detail … all that one should expect. John uses the BuilderTrend website which is a great online communication/calendar scheduling tool for providing clients with up-to-date status of progress and budget costs. Ammirato Construction recently completed our great room remodel project on-time and on-budget. We are just thrilled with the results! I was particularly impressed with the pace at which the job progressed. There was very little downtime, and when there was, we were told exactly why and what the impact would be. The Ammirato staff and subcontractors were all on-time and professional on the job site. They also worked hard to make us as comfortable as possible while we were living through the remodel. We would work with them again in a heartbeat.

John just completed my master bathroom gut as well as refinishing my hardwood floors and powder bath remodel. I can't say enough about John and his team. He is quick to respond, trustworthy, organized, timely, and does beautiful work. I'm an interior designer, so I know exactly how I want the finished project to look and John delivered exactly what I wanted down to the tiniest detail. My master bath was a complicated project with lots of custom details and he came up with creative ways to implement such a design. It was nice to leave on several weeklong vacations and not only trust that my house and belongings were safe and watched after, but also to be able to see the progress that he documented daily with photos and notes on BuilderTrend - a website that he uses to communicate with clients. I will most certainly use Ammirato Construction in the future, and well as recommend them to clients and friends.

We bought a long neglected home in Los Gatos and Ammirato Construction handled the entire project, inside and outside. Our job was extensive, a complete gut down to the studs and including a new roof and windows, relocated kitchen, three remodeled bathrooms, a newly designed entry, completely new exterior, etc. It was a massive undertaking. John’s crew was always onsite by 8am and were dedicated to quality workmanship. The jobsite was kept impeccably clean and that was truly appreciated by our neighbors as we were not living there during the majority of the work. The attention to detail is amazing and John and his project manager were always available to talk through issues and changes as we progressed. They are both very current on the latest technologies with regard to homes and we appreciated that as we incorporated several interesting concepts in our home. John has a terrific eye for design and was personally responsible for creating our new entry staircase (an entire flight off the driveway), a floating countertop with undermount lights in a bathroom, and an incredible modern fireplace that is made of composite tiles on all four sides and stands 20-feet tall. Because we were so pleased with the work done on our home, we hired Ammirato Construction to manage our outdoor project as well. This included: a series of retaining walls, an outdoor kitchen with trellis and plumbing, a custom gas firepit with trellis, irrigation, extensive outdoor lighting and sound both of which are controlled by an app on our phones, regrading the property to create a sloping walkway to the new ipe deck, a 300-foot pathway up the steep incline to the top of our property and a patio at the top with access to water and wifi. Another huge undertaking, but again, John and his team demonstrated their engineering skills, and ability to keep on a timeline and budget. Needless to say, our neighbors were very curious to see our new home as they watched its transformation from the street. We welcome anyone considering using Ammirato Construction to come to see our home as a testament to John’s pride in his work.

Bathroom remodel, kitchen floor re do, various inspection repairs. I have worked with Amiratto' constriction 3 times now. Each time they have done a superb job for me. They are maticulous, thorough and perform excellent work. We hired Ammirato Construction for several home renovation projects. They were great! Projects included: Replacing a kitchen backsplash, interior and exterior painting, and HVAC work. We selected Ammirato Construction for three separate jobs over the past few years: 1) a kitchen remodel for a 10 year old home; 2) restoration of a 1912 craftsman home; and 3) demolition and reconstruction of a cottage, installation of a new patio, driveway and hardscape for the entire property. We continued to select Ammirato Construction due to the high quality workmanship and the professionalism of the entire crew. The craftsman home renovation was especially challenging given the age of the home and the poor condition of previous modifications. Ammirato provided incredible guidance along the way, helping to make decisions which fit with the original design and appearance of the home while modernizing and improving the entire home so that it will last many more decades. The cottage re-build offered its own challenges given the small footprint we were allowed to build on. Ammirato Construction worked with us to create a highly livable design that fits a full kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and laundry into 400 square feet. The small cottage feels roomy and comfortable inside while matching the craftsman design style on the outside. Ammirato designed a elevated stone-faced patio with outdoor kitchen which is off the back of the craftsman house adjoining the cottage. The patio extends the living space of the 1,000 square foot home creating an outdoor room with gas fireplace. John Ammirato and his crew chiefs provided great guidance through these large projects and were invaluable in creating the designs that are fabulous looking and were executed to the highest quality standards. Ammirato construction gets the highest recommendation we can give.

This is about the third time to hire Ammirato Construction over the past 5 years. From our kitchen remodel to our exterior facade and then to our newer home with all new flooring and crown molding. They have had such great vision and their attention to detail is impeccable. Such a pleasure to work with. They manage the project seamlessly only involving you on the necessary items. The end results for all our projects have been more than we originally imagined. They brought in their expertise and knowledge to help form a fully functional environment with details we had not even thought of. We were very happy customers and repeat customers.
