You are not going to find a better hardwood contractor than Sergio in Ottawa! He is absolutely the best - he will treat your house and your investment like his own. Extremely professional, detailed-oriented, super patient and personable, Sergio was amazing to work with. He carefully explained all our options, educated us on all the cost-benefit tradeoffs for each option, detailed every choice with the associated cost in his quote, gave us a lot of flexibility and much-appreciated guidance when making our design choices and executed the project impeccably. He thoroughly cleaned his workspace each and every day, accommodated us in scheduling his time when we had another contractor doing bathroom work, and communicated with us at every step of the way. We considered ourselves very lucky to have found him.

After visiting our home and listening to what we wanted done Sergio explained everything about the job. We wanted 2 walnut hardwood floors sanded and refinished. He forwarded us a well laid out contract that gave us the opportunity to chose the options that were discussed during his visit. Sergio and his helper were at our home for 3 days and always arrived on time and ready to work.They were always very professional, respectful and friendly. I can't say enough good things about Sorkiew's work. He refinished our hardwood oak floors, removing a very stubborn dark finish and revealing a beautiful natural white oak finish. He always showed up on time, and finished the work when he said he would. He always had a smile and was very informative about the process. He really knows his stuff. He's been in the business a long time, so I guess that's no surprise. I can't recommend his work enough. The finish is beyond my expectations and I get compliments on my floors all the time now. Thank you Sergio for installing approx.. 1,700 sq. ft. of hardwood flooring, new stairs and railing in our house, and greatly appreciate the high quality of workmanship. We had to wait for sometime from initial signing of the contract to commence the work but it was definitely worth the wait for the wonderful job you did. Throughout the project he was educating us how to protect and take care of the wood. At the end of each day, he made sure the place was well cleaned before he left. His level of expertise, attention to details and professionalism is definitely 10 out of 10, and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

A Plus Flooring recently finished resurfacing our staircase, replacing our railing and spindles in December 2019. We found this company via a google search online and meet with the owner in April 2019 to get a quote. His quote was competitive in price, but, samples of his workmanship and reviews were stellar. We therefore signed a contract with A Plus Flooring Ltd, with the Owner in May 2019, knowingly that we would have to wait until December 2019 for the project to start. Sorkiew (Sergio), the owner, is an honest, kind, professional, respectful individual who has an eye for detail. The end product is exactly what we were hoping for and we are extremely pleased with the quality of his work. We would highly recommend A Plus Flooring to anyone. Sergio (A Plus Flooring) undertook a large job for us this fall. He removed carpets from three rooms and installed new hardwood. He refinished all the existing hardwood floors and removed and replaced all the baseboards and removed and replaced tiles in our front hall. He is meticulous, trustworthy and his experience shows. He was pleasant, careful, clean, and kept to schedule. I would highly recommend using Sergio for any work required. A true perfectionist who takes pride in his work.

My husband and I recently moved to Ottawa where we purchased a home that needed some work to meet our tastes. We met with Sorkiew and instantly felt at ease with him. While at our home to review the job he also provided us with several options. Within a few days he presented us with a reasonable quote. Sorkiew was forthright with the fact that it would be a few months before he could complete the work. However based on the meetings and discussions we had with him we were more than comfortable with the wait. Boy am I glad we chose to wait. I have worked with many tradespeople throughout my life but none quite like Sorkiew. First he is a wonderful human being who we had no qualms handing a key to our home so that he could come and go as he needed. Second he was meticulous, clean and efficient in completing the job. I hired Sergio to sand and stain my stairs, hallway, and 3 bedrooms. He always arrived on all the scheduled times, did precisely what I had asked for with quality and attention to detail, went out of the way to minimally impact our lives (very little mess and dust), and was always caring & courteous. Sergio and his helper were amazing and hard working, definitely above my expectations. I would hire him again in a flash. All this while coming in exactly on budget.
