Om oss

Founded in 2003, Bevan + Associates specializes in custom residential homes for families, couples and developers. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, projects span the entire country meeting the needs of clients both near and far. Overall aesthetic and "style" of work is modern feel, with the use of natural materials such as stone, steel, concrete, glass and wood. Our approach is that every home should feel like a vacation with a relaxed sophistication. Born and raised in San Francisco Bay Area, George Bevan attended the University of Oregon where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Politics, with a Minor in Planning, Public Policy & Management in 1996. Bevan moved on to complete his Master of Architecture degree at California Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2001. He was awarded the 2001 Medal for Excellence in the Study of Architecture by the American Institute of Architects. Work experience includes, a residency for Michael Folonis, FAIA in Santa Monica designing custom residential homes and mid-century modern restorations.

We have completed multi design projects with Bevan & Associates including a ground- up 3 structure estate. We will never use anyone else. B&A has an incredible eye for design that meets what the client wants. The client's needs drive the process, not the other way around. All of the employees are humble, approachable, responsive and easy to work with. Unconditional endorsement to this talented team.

Coming from the design business ourselves, my husband and I appreciate the value of being able to articulate a creative vision and the importance of listening to clients. From our first meeting, we felt that Bevan Associates "got" us and our site, developed a shared vision of what could be, and helped us build our dream home. They listened, asked smart questions, and challenged us when needed. It was a true partnership resulting in spectacular design. We've just hired Bevan Associates again to work on the remodel of another home and already feeling energized about the possibilities that come from working with them.

George is one of those design professionals you just always enjoy working with. His personality makes meetings and interaction with clients and contractors fun and positive. Even in situations where stress is high in a room, George is able to keep calm and move a project forward to the finish line. Projects he creates are challenging from an engineering perspective, yet interesting from a design standpoint. This in turn ensures each project he designs is unique.

We worked with Bevan Associates on both a remodel and a new house and greatly enjoyed both experiences. George and his team have wonderful design instincts, are great listeners and work closely with you during the entire process from conception through construction to help manage the details and assure the desired outcome. We've recommended him to friends without hesitation and would happily work with him again!
