As an Interior Design firm who relies on excellent craftsmanship, reliability, and professionalism from its contractors, I feel very fortunate to have met and worked with Bliss Builders on two of my recent remodeling projects. Mike has a great attitude and approach, a congenial personality that my clients love, provides a professional presentation of the costs, and above all delivers on what he says he will do. I have worked with Mike and Kathy for about a year now and have had a great experience with both. Mike, the owner, is very professional, knowledgeable, and timely in his response. His crew was always on time, respectful, and did exceptional work. Kathy, who does the billing, has also been very helpful and responsive to keep the billing cycles updated. Mike built us a new deck, as well as did extensive work inside remodeling bathrooms and other areas of the house. Great work!

I have worked with a number of contractors in the past. Mike Bliss was, by far, the best. Every step of the process was handled in a very professional way. All of the paper work was well worded and left no question of cost or expectations. All of the sub contractors that Mike hired were excellent. Everything was kept very neat and clean as the work progressed. The final outcome was just beautiful. We couldn't have been more pleased. Mike would be my very first choice for future projects.

Mike did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel which also included new flooring downstairs, stairs (I hated the old carpet), new stone facing around fireplaces and hearth. We were so happy with his work, we had him come back a year later to totally gut and remodel the master bath. He upgraded surfaces in our other 2 bathrooms and laundry room. He was very professional. Quality work. Listened. Easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond our expectations. All fixtures, hardware and surfaces installed were top quality. We would highly recommend him. I interviewed 6 contractors in the greater Sacramento metro, with a set of plans developed by an architect to remodel my kitchen. Some proposal were detailed and some were just the bottom line. Of course I wanted as much detail as I could so I discarded the bottom liner's. It came down to 2 contractors both with detailed proposals and time to complete the project, basically the decision came down to who do I trust. Mike Bliss was my pick partly because of cost, general knowledge and time to complete, but more importantly someone that was sincere or trustworthy. I soon found out that I made the right choice when Mike was part of the demo team. Throughout the project Mike was on site everyday doing the technical work, plumbing, electrical measuring, directing and helped in the clean up, that's right after everyday the place was cleaned, which we appreciated. Although no job goes with out a hitch, each time a problem showed up Mike always came through with a solution,to our satisfaction.

My project involved removing a post from the center of my garage and a post dividing two 8’ garage doors. I wanted to replace the two garage doors with one 16’ door. I had the project engineered to insure adequate support. After reviewing several bids I chose Mr. Bliss because he understood the the engineering specs and had a plan for completing the project. Not to be overlooked was the fact that his bid was reasonable and competitive. He explained his approach so I could understand the process. Every step was professional and all of my questions were answered. I would definitely recommend Mr Bliss.

Mike and his team replaced siding and repaired some damage around exterior windows. The work was completed professionally and in a timely manner. Even though my project was small, Mike gave the project the attention of a larger project! Planning on hiring him again!

We trust Bliss Builders to do an outstanding job on any repairs our home needs. We first used Mike years ago to fix our son's bedroom ceiling when an unseen roof leak turned into a ceiling leak. He fixed it beautifully and made sure there were no hidden issues. Most recently, he repaired the large stucco pillars at the front of our house, replaced a number of windows, fixed our chimney and coordinated the painting of our house. It now looks beautiful and is highly energy efficient. After living here over 20 years, we feel like the house is new again. Mike is very professional, extremely detail oriented and not only makes sure what you want, but checks that it all came out as you expected when he is done. We will definitely use him for all future necessary repairs on our house and give him the highest recommendation.

Mike is one of the most professional contractors I have ever worked with. His attention to detail is phenomenal. When he is done for the day, he would clean up to the point I wasn't sure if he was there. In today's world, it's refreshing to have someone with such a wonderful work ethic. The work was done in a timely fashion even when I asked him to incorporate a tile I received from a friend. I would hire him again and again. I can't say enough about his wonderful demeanor and work ethic.

They were professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, paid attention to detail and provided quality work. The cost charged for the project was reasonable compared to other contractors estimates. Mike was always there to work with his crew and made sure the specialists he brought in were there on time and provided quality work, completed the work timely and always cleaned up before they left each day, The project was completed within budget and they met the project deadlines.
