We retained Blue Frog Studio for renovation of our old cottage with a maximum budget of approximately $300,000 - completely re-doing our kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and patio, and refreshing the remainder of the house with new paint. We selected and worked remotely with Blue Frog while living in the USA during the design and construction phases. The Blue Frog team (specifically John, Luke and Matt) was very professional and responsive to our needs, meeting our design objectives, budget, and schedule requirements. Blue Frog communicated with us remotely throughout the design and construction process and kept us adequately informed. We returned to Australia and moved into our house at project completion. The completed kitchen and bathroom remodeling exceeds our expectations. We have no reservations in recommending Blue Frog Studio to others with a five-star rating for their home renovation projects.

We wanted to update the kitchen and flooring in the living areas of our apartment which we have been living in for more than 6 years. The apartment is about 20 years old and whilst in good order needed to be refreshed. The kitchen renovations was the key feature and we had two reputable designers come. It was an easy choice as Blue Frog Studio through John Cullen was clearly going to deliver what we wanted. John and Noelene listened to what we wanted to achieve, spent time understanding our tastes and then provided options which achieved our goals but with some flexibility. Their expertise, professionalism and responsiveness made it also a simple decision to have John and Noelene be the project managers. They organised trades staff and scheduled activities beyond what we could easily accomplish ourselves albeit we have a couple of excellent tradesmen who have done good work for us. The difference is Blue Frog’s knowledge and experience, and the use of tradesmen who were in themselves very good and have worked with John and Noelene. In the end we achieved all we were hoping for within a timeframe which was better than we could have managed ourselves and have an impressive new kitchen which is highly functional, looks great and is a product of our brief which was then influenced by the creativity and expertise of John and Noelene from Blue Frog Studios. John Cullen of Blue Frog Studios recently supervised/organised a major renovation of our home unit in Cremorne. The final result is fantastic. His ideas and designs were excellent, and he organised very good, efficient tradespeople for all jobs. The kitchen and bathroom fitouts, appliances, painting, wooden flooring, window shutters, built-in wardrobe, light fittings etc look wonderful and all work was spot on. The team at Blue Frog Studio went above and beyond in helping is to transform our ageing galley style kitchen into a contemporary feature. Being a galley kitchen space had been an issue for us and our main goals at the outset were to open up more room, add a breakfast bar and link the kitchen to the outdoor area. The Blue Frog team took our ideas and enhanced them with their own recommendations and were able to provide a complete turnkey solution including design, joinery, bench tops, flooring, tiling and appliances and were also able to work with the builders through the project to ensure it was a success. A month on now from when the final tile was laid there isn't a thing I would change about any aspect of the new kitchen - couldn't be happier!

By way of the team at Blue Frog Studio, our much loved but ageing 1929 cottage has been delightfully transformed. Key elements for any renovation project, including the development and finalisation of architectural plans, the carriage of the CDC through to approval and the selection of the construction and refitting professional team were expertly handled. We are thrilled with the outcome. The character of our home has been preserved and is complemented by beautifully designed new areas that reflect our needs and lifestyle. Important to this outcome was the design and consultation processes that addressed squarely the brief, yet provided us with wonderfully insightful options and ideas.

I engaged john Cullen from Bluefrog studio to design my kitchen and family room renovation in December 2020. Not only did he responded very quickly with an immediate site visit, where he discussed various practical options and possibilities. He was also able to produce amazing concept sketches within days . What impressed me was his ability to grasp what I wanted and to translate and reflect that in his plans . He is very easy to work with , and a very good collaborator as both of us worked to refine the first plans. His fees were transparent, and worth every dollar considering the outcome . When building started and there were some changes to the site area , john immediately made site visits and conferred with my builder on how best to fit in his design . My renovation project greatly benefited from his involvement, which was completed to my utmost satisfaction . I recommend john highly and would not hesitate to engage him for my next project . We renovated our kitchen, laundry, living and formal lounge room. John was a great assistance in design, innovation and styling. John came up with some very innovative designs that we would not have thought of. He was also very useful in suggesting accessories, lighting, tiling etc. John was a pleasure to work with. John was a great support to us in the development of design plans for our ensuite and main bathroom / laundry combo. He listened to all our needs and visited the site to gain clarity on the job and then submitted concept drawings for discussion that led to final plans being drawn up. John was also able to support us with material & appliance choices and finishes that are evident in the finished result. We were very grateful for his patience and understanding when changes needed to be made.

From the moment we met Jennifer and John from Blue Frog we knew that we would be working with people who cared what we thought and understood how emotionally charged a home renovation could be. They earned our trust from the first day because they listened. Both John and Jennifer are consultative and inclusive in their approach and their experience meant that they could open our minds and help us to realise what was possible. Blue Frog not only completed designs and consulted on styling but they were able to recommend builders (Red Cedar Constructions) and craftspeople to supply and manage stonework (Arciuli) and cabinetry (Fine Lines Cabinetry). They even went shopping with us and helped us to select lighting (The light site in Crows Nest) and also bathroom and kitchen basins, taps and fittings (Just Bathroomware, Drummoyne.) John designed our kitchen, bathroom, laundry and second toilet. He was a mastermind of creating space and clever storage, while keeping that style and design and the forefront. Jennifer project managed the renovation and it was well worth it! She coordinated deliveries according to trades schedule, kept us up to date, was on site at critical times and helped us to make decisions. We cannot imagine how we would have coped without Jen. We are abundantly thrilled with our renovations. The space we now have is making our lives much easier and we are enjoying having a stylish, modern kitchen and a relaxing bathroom that feels like we are at a day spa. We cannot thank John and Jennifer, Blue frog, enough.

I loved Jennifer's guidance in decorating my recently renovated house. Jennifer chose a wonderful colour palette for the house, floor, kitchen, bathrooms and the front door that enhanced its cape cod style. She helped me to hone my style and listened patiently to my likes and at the same time was firm with her dislikes! She introduced me to trade places for furniture, rugs and pictures that I would not otherwise have had access to as well as other fabulous shops. We went shopping together where we covered so much and I garnered the look she was aiming for. Jennifer is highly knowledgeable, professional, qualified and experienced in this field, and on top of that she is personable to boot! When friends come round now, they are enamoured with what we have achieved. She was fantastic in pulling the whole house together and making it a home that not only looks nice but is really comfortable. Thank you Jennifer!!

John and Jenny designed our kitchen, ensuite and bathroom along with other aspects of the house and the coordination. The team at Blue Frog Studio were fantastic. We had a small bathroom and laundry area that hadn’t been touched since the 80s and were in urgent need of an overhaul. Blue Frog Studio was able to come up with a clever design that made smart use of the space and transformed them into modern looking masterpieces. They also helped us with colour and tile selections, custom cabinetry, bench tops and fittings. It’s hard to believe that it’s the same place!!
