My Wife and I decided to move from New York and build a new home in North Carolina. After interviewing several contractors Brooks became our choice. He started the process January 2021 and was complete turnkey by the end or September 2021. His trades were all exceptionally skilled and craftsmanship was top shelf. The vendors he uses were all knowledgeable and very helpful. All this made building our home very enjoyable. The outcome exceeded our expectations and whats more the house feels solid and well built. And I should know I have been in the construction business for 45 years. The Henderson Building Group built us a quality home for which we are very grateful "Thank you Brooks"

We used Henderson Building Group for a home addition - master suite, laundry room and mud room. The project was relatively complex, involving the demolition of an existing carport and replacing with an addition that connected two structures on different elevations. From initial planning to final punch list items, Brooks worked to make things right and communicate as quickly and concisely as possible. Brooks is interested in working with you to deliver what you want, not what his vision is for your house; he listens to what you want and offers suggestions on how to manage costs across different components of the project to meet your needs within your budget. Brooks works closely with an independent architect who we were very pleased with, and we found that the existing relationship between them made the design process go faster. It is inevitable that issues arise during a construction project, especially an addition when you don't always know the issues you'll face until you demolish and dig. When these issues came up, Brooks did a great job of quickly communicating with me, explaining the issue and offering potential solutions. I appreciated his communication and the fact that he was personally involved in the project. Brooks wasn't a "ghost" - I saw him regularly and if I expressed a concern to the site manager Brooks would call me and make sure follow up was completed to my satisfaction. I was pleased with the professionalism of the sub-contractors that Brooks uses as well (with the exception of one). I found them to be very experienced and professional, and courteous to our entire family. 95% of the work was done with quality the first time, and on the rare occasion that something didn't match the plans the issue was immediately rectified. Brooks works with sub-contractors that have decades of experience, and that professionalism shows through in the final product. if you're looking for a contractor that will uses experienced sub-contractors, is open and communicative, and makes sure the job is done right, I would highly recommend Henderson Building Group.

Henderson Building Group did an outstanding job on our addition. We added approx 25% to the size of the house, and while all projects have some 'bumps', Brooks handled ours as well as could be expected. He uses first class subs and stays on top of them with frequent visits to the site. He stayed in good communication with us throughout the project. The biggest test is would we use HBG again? Absolutely!

We are absolutely thrilled with our new home ! HBG deserves an A++ for their integrity, project management and result. Brooks patiently waited for us to find the "right" plan and then helped us manage each phase of the project with timelines for selections. From the day that they broke ground to completion, there was work being done on the house every day. The house was completed on time (actually early) and in budget. It is clear from the professional and dedicated contractors that Brooks has assembled for framing, electrical, plumbing etc., that they take great pride in working with HBG. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Brooks and would highly recommend he and his team.

We bought our house in Mooresville while still living in New York. HBG came highly recommended from our Realtor and we couldn’t be happier that we hired Brooks and his crew. Our renovation was extensive and so were our expectations. They handled everything from the typical painting and installing crown molding to bumping out an exterior, brick wall, building a dormer, custom master bath & closet. HBG were some of the most professional and thorough builders we’ve ever worked with. They kept us on schedule by giving us deadlines for materials and even had recommendations for carpeting, plumbing materials, cabinetry, etc. And they were in constant contact with us going above and beyond by sending us pictures and videos since we weren’t able to be on site. We would use HBG again in the future and we’d recommend them to anyone looking for a major remodel or build. Thanks HBG!

Henderson Group knocked our renovation project out of the park! We had a bath gutted and all new tile, shower and wall bead board installed. The bath cabinets were repainted and glazed. All hardwood floors were re-stained throughout. The kitchen cabinets were painted and glazed and new lighting installed .We had a new wood custom door and shutters made and installed as well as outdoor lighting. We had every wall and piece of trim painted all new colors. New dining room light and under cabinet lighting installed as well. Henderson Group was on time and on budget. They were very clean and professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!!

Henderson Building Group executed an extensive interior renovation in our historic Dilworth home, which included reconfiguring the first floor layout to accommodate an open kitchen and family room at the back of the home, converting the old kitchen to a laundry and mudroom, expanding the master bath, and moving several windows, doors, and openings. Though this project was a significant undertaking, Brooks seemed to manage it with ease and we are thrilled with our “new” old home. From the start, it was evident Brooks is focused on the details. He furnished a thorough and detailed proposal in the bidding process that made us confident he had a clear understanding of the scope of our project, as well as our vision for the end result. Once we awarded him the job, I appreciated that he was proactive about quickly ordering the custom doors and windows so we wouldn’t encounter a lag in the timeline. All of Brooks’ subs were a pleasure to be around. I appreciated the fact that his carpenters, electricians, tile crew, painters, and other teams seemed to care about the work they were doing. Through the course of the project, I enjoyed getting to know some of these people, and can walk through our finished home appreciating their craftsmanship. Throughout this 6-month renovation, Brooks was extremely responsive. He would quickly respond to questions by text and email, and was at the house almost every day. He was diligent about confirming the details with me, and I enjoyed frequently meeting him at the house to walk through progress and discuss the upcoming work. We have complete confidence in Brooks’ ability to manage and execute a large construction project such as ours, and look forward to working with him again in the future. I would highly recommend Henderson Building Group.

Brooks was very attentive to our wishes and needs. Additionally, when unexpected conditions required some fairly extensive revisions, Brooks provided excellent advice and guidance in scheduling and sequencing. Though seemingly minor on the surface, it saved us a ton of time and money. The quality of work performed by his subs was uniformly excellent. In all cases, they were respectful and polite.

Brooks is extremely professional, respectful and talented. We had a complex project and Brooks worked with us each step of the way and the end results were better than we hoped. We love our "re-imagined" home and cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Brooks.
