Buywood Furniture has over 40 years experience in hand-crafting some of the highest quality and unique timber furniture available on the market today. Our extensive experience means you will always be provided with expert advice and assistance to take your ideas from sketches to completion and beyond. We are also proud to maintain the art of woodworking by passing our knowledge onto our carefully selected and dedicated apprentices. We are Brisbane based and pride ourselves on providing our clients with a true insight into the art and intricacies of craftsmanship through the pieces we create for them. Beginning with the wood of your choice, we are able to design and custom make just about anything you can imagine in our purpose-built workshop including coffee and dining tables, bedroom furniture, beds, sideboards, display cabinets, bar stools, outdoor furniture and more.

We recently had our kitchen renovated and had made the decision to install a wooden benchtop. As the dimensions of our island bench are out of the ordinary we had to hunt around for a custom made top. Going through the local online yellow pages, we found Buywood Furniture! No further looking was required! The service that we received, from walking through the door at the showroom in Alderley down to the last email and the installation, was outstanding. The quality (sustainably harvested Australian Blackbutt) is top of the line and absolutely gorgeous and the craftmanship matches that quality! Should we ever need any bespoke furniture, we know where we will go! Thank you Hannah and team from Buywood Furniture, it was a pleasure!

The quality and craftsmanship delivered by the team at Bywood is exceptional. We purchased a custome made parquetry extension dining table and couldn't be happier. It is a collectors piece that has become centre to all our family gatherings adding a level of style not found in from the mass produced stores. This piece was created uniquely for our needs and the team were all to happy to help and deliver with exceptional service. They obviously love what they do.

I have been looking for years for a company to undertake my project - Built-in wooden wardrobes in the Art Deco style. From the outset I knew that I had found the right company for me. My desires and priorities were listened to, suggestions made and a beautiful design created and finely crafted wardrobes made. I have not understood the true meaning of 'craftsman' until Buywood Furniture. The care and concern they took was assuring and it was as if they were creating and building for themselves. The end result is exactly how I imagined it would be. Visitors have stated that the wardrobes look as if they had always been there. They fit in. I love their Art-Deco designs. I have ended up with beautiful wardrobes of superb quality. I highly recommend 'Buywood Furniture' and would not hesitate to involve them in my next project. Geoff Prince

EXCEPTIONAL !!! From design to delivery Lee and the team at Buywood provided such a wonderful experience that I cannot thank them enough. We had a bathroom vanity and shaving cabinet designed and constructed by the team of craftsman at buywood ( for our bathroom reno ) and the quality of finish and attention to detail has been commented on and admired by every tradesman passing through and of course myself !! Cheers lads and ladies at Buywood you guys are great

I engaged Buywood to design and build a large bespoke wall unit. They were excellent in communicating with me about my particular needs and visited the site twice to measure prior to the final design. They showed great attention to detail and consul;ted me every step along the way in relation to finished and hardware. Although they were not able to start the construction as initially scheduled, they advised me of this in advance and met the revised dates. The end result is a truly beautiful piece of furniture in American Walnut timber, that is practical as well!

My wife and I were extremely pleased to be able to find a company in Brisbane building quality furniture with Australian wood and local tradesmen. Having ticked that box, the experience once we had placed our order was first class. We were kept updated with progress of the build and invited to inspect our dining room table during the build process. On completion the owner came to our home with the delivery truck and oversaw the unloading and did what assembly was required himself. The Buywood Team are the Rockstars of the furniture business - a first class product with first class service.

I purchased custom designed bedroom furniture from this company. I am so happy with the design and workmanship - I absolutely love my spotted gum furniture. The only "negative" I have is the amount of time I had to wait for it. However, since I had waited many years to be able to afford such beautiful furniture a few months was not a big deal.

We love our furniture made by Buywood! We first met Lee a few years back and it was great the way he listened to exactly what we wanted but came up with ideas and suggestions to help. We had made an 8 seater dining table and chairs, made in the wood we wanted and in the design we chose. We also had our King bed and side tables made too, exactly in the design we wanted. After moving away from Brisbane, we still have furniture made from Buywood as delivery is no problem and the whole process runs so smoothly. Not only are they a great and professional team but the pieces of furniture are so well made, you know they will last a lifetime. Craftsmanship at its best and you wont find quality like this off the shelf! Thank you

We have been looking for a dining room table for at least 2 years. My partner saw a print ad and we walked into the Buy wood showroom one weekend. What we wanted was in the show room. Then we needed chairs. Tracy made sure we saw what was available; we were even able to closely match our fabrics with what we had already in the house. The delivery team found our remote location and installed without a problem.

Having to work from only rough sketches did not upset the design process and measurements were triple checked. The room into which the furniture was to go was also visited to make sure our choice of timber was the closest possible match to the existing decor. Professionalism was the keynote in the whole process. We are now the proud owners of a fantastic contemporary design dining setting for up to 8 people, an original design hutch and matching storage cupboard. We are delighted with our purchases and have no hesitation in recommending their products, service and workmanship.
