I would warn anyone away from this company. We had a Koi pond built by them and have been totally frustrated with all aspects of the job. Carl and his brother John are temperamental, overwhelmed and incapable of delivering a good job or satisfactory service afterwards. The only way I could ever get anyone to come back out to fix a problem was to threaten a complaint against Carl’s contractors license. And every time he did come out, he left me with even more problems. Most problems were never resolved. In the end, I had a to completely rebuild my pond myself. Carl and his company are incompetent to the extreme. He only hires young, inexperienced people who only make problems worse.. but tries to charge $85 an hour for these kids who have no idea what they’re doing. Save yourself a huge headache and steer clear of this company.

Carl charged me 1200 and never shipped me anything. He has a pretend company with a front end phone system which says. "Checking with the warehouse" Oh no one is available. No one ever answer. Carl is a scam artist with no business ethics. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM.

Carl and crew are personal and professional. Ian will will build you dream pond. Their store is stocked with any product you would need for your Koi pond.

Originally thinking we would simply get our fairly small cement pond repaired and sealed, we called Columbia to get an estimate. Carl gave us the advantages and disadvantages of repairing and resealing, and then respectfully asked if we would like other ideas. He described his vision of taking the existing sloping hill, giant boulders and cement "bridge" and reworking them, making a small pond at the top, which flows into a series of twisting waterfalls, over the "bridge" into the now-revamped pond, and then recirculates back to the top. He also incorporated a redwood bridge over the pond, adding a beautiful focal point. Carl was very patient with us as we asked many questions, worked with our budget, and ensured the project was completed prior to our housewarming party. The 4 stars, rather than 5, is only because the pond developed a few areas of "water wicking." However, Carl and Columbia always responded to our calls to rework the liner in some areas to minimize this.
