Recently completed a 2 bath and closet renovation with the Christie team and it went very well! There were a lot of communication with Alyssa and Brandi during the design and planning phases, they were able to design and plan in a small time frame. It was a very organized process overall in the design & plan phase. They were very thorough in the budget and discussed costs and where potential overruns may be. The renovation phase also went very well, the sub-contractors were all knowledgeable and very courteous, especially with our dog who was still in training. They were very accommodating when we wanted to align the construction with window replacements and were also able to walk us through installation details to make sure the placement of the bathroom accessories were where we wanted them. Overall, the communication from this team was great and we're looking forward to working with them again!

Couldn’t recommend more highly Christie’s Design/Build Remodeling. They did an amazing job. Their crew was reliable and highly skilled. Everyone of them cared about the project as if it had been their own home. Now that’s the kind of people you only wish would work on your home. You won’t be disappointed. They are local Colorado people who have connections with multiple vendors to complete details of your design with precision. You should count on their connections; they can accomplish more for less, and more efficiently than if you sought out your own vendors. We took on one task ourselves, and it held up the whole sequence. They were patient to deal with our interruption, even though they knew they could have accomplished the task in less time. The people they hire are skilled craftsmen trustworthy to the completion of the project. We now have a deck the width of our house, a portion of which is a nice covered area. We have anew master bath and new quartzite counters in two bathrooms, new custom showers, and a fabulous custom stacked-stone fireplace. They did the stack stone in two days-an amazing feat for a 22ft.+ fireplace with only two men measuring, cutting, and stacking stone. We appreciated their nonstop commitment to efficiently and skillfully pull off our remodel plans.

Looking to build an RV Garage we contacted, Alyssa at Christies to start the process, met with them at our home discussed budget, style and HOA requirements. We were assured that we could build the garage within budget. Alyssa ran some numbers and again said the garage was doable. We handed over $8000 to start a design, they happily took our money but never delivered saying that a garage could not be built for $200,000, we would need an additional $125,000 if we wanted the garage. They are extremely incompetent. I urge others to be weary of their unethical practices.

Thank you for your feedback Nancy. Our notes state that Steve and Alyssa met with you to discuss the final verbal ballpark numbers and move forward with a Planning and Budgeting Agreement for your RV garage. In this RV garage, you wanted a dump station, a bathroom added, finished walls, insulation, heat, adding quite a bit of concrete to your current driveway, standard electrical needed for your RV, with an additional 1 car garage off the side. With this you also wanted stucco walls, matching stone surround, corbels, and clay shingles to match your house. As we stated in that meeting, we would be able to build you a garage for $200,000, but we would not be able to get you everything you wanted for that price. However, we stated we could find out costs, research HOA requirements, get an engineer out there, soil samples done, property survey done, as well as create plans for our standard planning and budgeting fee of 4% of the $200K you wanted to budget around.

Christie's gave you an initial design that would fit within the $200K budget you wanted. You said that it was not what you wanted for your garage and that we had to redesign it and give you an estimate of what you wanted, even though we told you it would cost much more to build the RV garage with everything you desired. We came up with a design of everything you initially asked for and the estimate came out to being $296,926.91. You, of course frustrated with sticker shock, demanded we get the estimate down. We said we could absolutely do so, but we would have to cut out a lot of the items you wanted for your garage. After many of hours of HOA research and telephone calls, meeting with subcontractors, engineers, and a surveyor, to get the estimate down closer to your desired budget, we were finally able to get the estimate down to $210,504.33. This was still a garage that had a dump station, running water, insulation, electric heat, concrete foundation, with the additional garage on the side and of course standard requirements for an RV garage. We did use standard asphalt shingles, battenboard siding, which is on many RV garages in your neighborhood, so we were confident it would have been approved by your HOA had you moved forward to the initial design meeting with the HOA. However, you refused because it was not exactly what you wanted for your budget. As our Planning and Budgeting Agreement states, you would have received a credit back for the $8,000 for the Planning and Budgeting Agreement had you chose to move forward with the build-out and your final costs would have been $202,504.33. Of course, if you didn’t do any insulation, the dump station, the additional garage on the side, it would have been much less than your budgeted $200K.

Additionally, you did receive detailed blueprints and 3D views that you can take to any other contractor and get estimates/pricing for your RV garage. Our costs getting engineers, soil samples, surveys completed, along with the tons hours spent doing estimating, designs, City and HOA requirements research is what you paid the 4% of the 200k planning and budgeting agreement for your garage.

We've had a couple of projects done by Christie's (a full basement finish and an entryway railing replacement) and we've been very pleased with the craftsmanship and customer service provided by Christie's. The sub-contractors they use are top notch, knowledgeable, and very courteous. We will definitely use Christie's for any future projects and recommend them to anyone looking for home improvement work.

They remodeled my kitchen & created a bathroom in my basement. Both projects were completed in a professional manor. The results were excellent in both. If you are looking for a builder to do it right an on time Christies is your best choise!

The Christie's team recently finished the basement in our new home. They were recommended by friends and, from start-to-finish, we could not have been more pleased with their work. Initially, I had intended to get at least three quotes for what we had in mind. After one visit with Steve and Alyssa, my wife and I decided we'd just go with Christie's and, as I said above, we couldn't be happier. The Christie's internal staff is professional, friendly and very courteous, but you kind of expect that. What I was so impressed with was that it was the same with every subcontractor they brought into our home. From rough-in plumbing to carpeting, every company that came into our home was just as friendly and professional. Shaun told me that when their subs are not that way, he doesn't use them again. Talking with the subs during the project, I learned that most had a long-standing relationship with Christie's. If you need design or remodeling service, I don't think you can go wrong with Christie's.

I had two drawers put in my kitchen, one to replace an existing drawer and the second a new sliding one. Love the extra space. Christie's did a fantastic job of matching the front part.

Christies is a great family company with an honest, upfront approach, and a great communication style. I chose them because they were a local company with an affordable estimate and could give access to us as owners having lots of hands-on input to all project decisions. They were prompt in addressing any problems that came up and were not afraid to replace subcontractors who were not skilled enough. We had a complete and radical remodel of a condo in a 140 year old house ( with all its idiosyncrasies) which involved tearing down internal walls for a more open floor plan, reversing closets, redesigning the whole kitchen, bathroom/laundry area, and home office. We are very pleased with the outcome and plan to age gracefully in place in our new, lovely open environment.
