Greenville's Prominent Interior Design Firm

A South Carolina native, Barbara Dalton followed her early love of art and creative design to New York City where she earned a degree in fashion design from The Fashion Institute of Technology. During the next ten years, she gained invaluable experience as a designer in the New York fashion industry. Returning to the south, Barbara’s passion for design led her to refocus her training and experience as she opened Dalton Interiors in 1997. An understanding of her client’s vision, together with her love for color, texture, and fabrics, provides clients with an effective advocate able to collaborate with all members of the project team. Drawing on her creativity, training, and experience, Barbara works closely with clients, architects, and builders to bridge the gaps between renderings, plans, construction, and results. Her inspiration is rooted in listening and observing, enabling the creation of spaces that reflect each client’s unique style.

My wife and I engaged Barbara Dalton Interiors in late 2019 after we decided to renovate and move back to my childhood home, a spacious 1960 brick ranch. The changes that were made to the home were transformational - particularly the updates made to the kitchen, den, and front porch. The design ideas that were implemented were beyond anything we could have imagined on our own. As we look back at what was accomplished, we are very thankful that we paid to have the input of a professional design company. It was money well spent. Beyond the design work itself, we were also extremely pleased with how Barbara Dalton Interiors helped with specifying aspects of the renovation, along with the furniture and various fabrics that were used - all of which served to make the design and color schemes work perfectly together. During the entire process, Barbara Dalton Interiors also served as an excellent liaison between us and the general contractor to make the renovations proceed smoothly. We love our newly renovated home and will definitely use Barbara Dalton Interiors the next time any further renovations or additions are considered.

Barbara Dalton and Allee Bramhall are true gems! We were looking for designers who could assist us with a few projects as we moved to our new home. We were so pleased with them and the beautiful outcomes that the ‘few’ projects happily became ‘many’ projects. Barbara and Allee are highly talented and creative designers who operate in an extremely professional manner. They understood our desires for our home and family, as well as our budget, and presented thoughtful ideas with multiple options that not only met our practical needs, but also helped make our home a very livable showplace. We recently used Dalton Interiors for a master suite renovation and could not be happier. The design perfectly suits our taste and Barbara and Allee were both wonderful to work with. They offered up well thought out design options, had extensive offerings of vendors and products, were knowledgeable about the construction process all while keeping in mind the budget we had set for the project. Allee and Barbara were quick to respond to our questions and helped bring our vision to life in our master suite. The best part is the the whole process from design to final product required little effort on our part due to how well they planned and executed the design.

Integrity Blinds & Shutters

I have worked with Barbara for years, she is a First Class operation and a true jewel for Greenville SC. I feel like I'm stepping into a magazine on each of her completed project. She really has a gift for being able to bring all the different design elements together in harmony. The experience she acquired in New York combined with her Southern style results in very unique and custom projects. She's GREAT!
