Clients Clapham Common Northside I am a London based residential interior designer, winner of Best of Houzz Awards 2016 and 2017 and a BIID Registered Interior Designer®. Having trained at the prestigious KLC School of design, where I graduated with Honours and won the Nina Campbell Award for Best Interior Designer, and having worked for two well-known high end residential interior design practices, I established Emma Green Design in 2008. I have been featured in the national press (25 Beautiful Homes), international press (Casa Deco in Germany), online nationally with Houzz and The Lux Pad and the local press (SW Magazine and Nappy Valley Net’s Design and Build Guide). I offer a tailor-made design service on both small projects, such as single rooms or soft furnishings/accessories, to entire houses, because I know that each client and each home has different needs at different stages. I take pride in creating stylish, elegant and comfortable spaces that reflect and enhance clients’ lifestyles and individuality. I have a trusted team of suppliers and tradesmen to ensure the smooth running of projects whilst an efficient, friendly and personal service from me, means that my clients have an equally rewarding experience of the design process itself. Having decided to go for a side return extension for our kitchen we asked Emma to help us design our new kitchen. This was the second time we worked with Emma as she did a fantastic job decorating our living room and hallway for our first project. Having an eye for colours is an understatement. Emma has a natural talent in coming up with a colour scheme that works with a wow factor. Her attention to detail meant that she was able to give good design advice for improvement on the kitchen plan during meetings with kitchen company. Emma listens and understands our requirement extremely well and strives to achieve it. Her wealth of knowledge in where to source products from made it easy for us to achieve the look we wanted. Emma isn't afraid to recommend bold ideas which was not something we would have considered before but we were always pleasantly surprised with the finishing result. Emma understands how important it is to keep to a budget and she always kept us regularly updated on this. She also did a lot of work without charging us. We have a beautiful kitchen designed by Emma and we love using it every day. We would definitely ask Emma for help again and highly recommend her to anyone else with a design project in mind. Emma also designed our son's bedroom. She spoke to my son who's 9 to get an idea about what his favourite things and colours are. Once she realised how much of a football fan he is, Emma came up with a scheme that is cool and fun which is perfect for a 9 year old. She recommended wall stickers and a peg board which are ideas we've we had never heard of or thought of. Seeing our son enjoying his room and being so proud of it is a true reflection of how good a designer Emma is.

We worked with Emma last year to reconfigure and design our ground floor living space. We were so impressed with her work and the beautiful design and resulting stunning space we have, that when we decided to update our master bedroom suite, Emma was the first person we turned to. Firstly Emma totally transformed the actual layout of our space by coming up with an ingenious plan and suggestions on how we could use the space better. That is always so helpful, especially when you live in London and space is at a premium! Secondly, our storage needs were listened to and very carefully considered when designing the rooms, with Emma designing some very impressive bespoke storage for us. Not only does it look fabulous, each item we needed to store has been found a place for. The rooms look so much bigger and are much less cluttered! Thirdly, the design itself is gorgeous. Emma is a master in the use of colour and texture and is able to really bring the whole scheme to life in a way we would never have even dreamed of. Her clever lighting scheme simply enhances this. Thank you so much, Emma.

Emma worked with us over 6 months in redesigning our hallway and living room and transformed them into living spaces we love. Her work included recommending a colour scheme for the wall, ceiling and woodwork, providing design ideas for fabrics for our sofa, chaise lounge and sheers for the French door, and lighting ideas. She also came up with some great ideas about soft furnishing (cushions and pieces for the mantle piece). Emma's attention to detail and her ability in tuning into our requirements and translating them into design ideas meant that the whole project from start to finish ran smoothly. Emma is creative and is brilliant at utilising spaces of a room. Certain pieces of the design (wallpaper and a pair of armchairs) made a big difference in the look and feel of the room. Emma is very knowledgeable about where to source products and we never ceased to be amazed. Emma is very conscious of our budget requirement and always kept us up to date with the costs incurred and looks for cost saving opportunities where possible. We highly recommend Emma as an interior designer

Emma suggested a colour scheme for our entire house, designed bespoke furniture, lighting plan, blinds and curtains and sourced some very unique pieces of furniture and lighting we would never have found. She has a great eye and attention to detail but also listens carefully. She did a great job and I would definitely recommend her.

Emma provided design and project management for a re-do of master bedroom, guest bedroom and home office. In the two bedrooms this included carpentry to build closets and shelving; new bed and new bedside tables and other elements as well as soft furnishings (Roman blinds, in particular), decoration and wall-paper. Thanks to her we have rooms with originality and panache that feel completely ours. She is very good at giving shape to the client's imaginings and skilfully executing the design brief. She will take on large or small projects and has a good network of craftspeople to carry out whatever work needs to be done. She ensures everything runs smoothly and to a high standard. Emma also has a great eye for colour and for the special touches – a wallpaper, perhaps, or a piece of furniture, that will make all the difference.
