Creative Custom Interiors was founded in 1999 and works with homeowners and/or Interior Designers on both commercial and residential projects. We make your walls and ceilings beautiful with a large variety of decorative and faux painting treatments such as Custom Textures (hand troweled and fossilizing), Color washing, Glazing, Handmade Papers, Specialty Plasters, Marbling, Iridescent Ceilings, Tissue Paper and Layered Metallics. Creative Custom Interiors also specializes in helping homeowners get an updated custom look for their kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They use a paint and glaze process that highlights the details of their cabinets and makes them beautiful. CCI was started by Heather Marks and John Kidd who are institute-trained artists. The company's goal is not to meet the clients expectations but to actually exceed them. Because John and Heather came from “Corporate America”, they operate their business by combining creativity with common business practices (such as honoring appointments and time schedules). Based in Castle Rock, Colorado (south of Metro Denver), CCI operates primarily in Douglas county but also services southern Denver, Colorado Springs and the mountain communities. High demand for their unique and creative talents has also taken them to areas throughout the United States.

Heather is phenomenal! She worked hard to ensure our vision for our new home was not just achieved but surpassed. It’s hard for me to choose a favorite room they are all done so beautifully! Heather’s work is unrivaled and we constantly receive compliments from visitors on the faux treatments and colors. I cannot recommend CCI enough!

I hired Heather to bring new life to my old front door. I had recently gotten updated interior doors which left my front door very bland. The solution she provided was exactly what I envisioned. Her process is thorough with sanding and priming, and painting style is a work of art.

I just can’t say enough about Heather and her team. She completed our kitchen and butler’s pantry. I love the glazing work she does - it adds a nice dimension to what would just be a flat painted look. It is well worth the extra money to achieve that custom look. She is very attentive and responsive, and offered design and color recommendations throughout. During the painting process she kept me informed of the schedule and progress. Heather is truly a professional and artist at her very unique craft. She was able to help me visualize what I was hoping to achieve with my kitchen cabinets before, during and after the project. Heather puts her heart and soul into her work and is extremely meticulous regarding the detail of the entire project. We could not be happier with the outcome of our updated cabinets and the beautiful results of our new kitchen! Heather delivers on what she tells you from the start of the project. She has wonderful assistants and they work hard in your home and are very tidy. There were no surprises ! We are already talking with Heather on another project for late spring of 2021.

Heather did an AMAZING job for us as part of our home remodeling project this year (Spring 2020). We updated our downstairs kitchen and the bathrooms, but we wanted keep the cabinets in those locations. Her gift of updating the paint on those cabinets for a current look to match the new tile and granite counters was PERFECT! We highly recommend Heather and CCI for any special projects you are planning to do in your home.

Heather is fantastic. I will post pictures of our project when we complete the rest, but she did an amazing job at faux painting a wall element to look just like a tile I picked out. The faux painting is beautiful and ended up being a fraction of the price of the tile cost and installation. Heather is professional, detailed, and on top of everything. You won't be disappointed using her on your next project

Heather is the best painter/artist that I have ever worked with. She had to match a 18 year old faux painted wall, ( because we had a leak ). I had no idea what colors were used on the original wall, so Heather came over and brought lots of paint decks and narrowed it down to a few possibilities. She then went home and made four sample boards out of the paint and glaze. She brought them over and they were all very very close. We picked one, she painted and glazed the wall, and it matched PERFECTLY! This was a very hard project, but Heather nailed it! I would recommend her for any of your faux painting jobs!

Thanks Judy for your kind words! It certainly was a challenge, but I was thrilled when it matched up beautifully with the surrounding walls. The "before" picture shows the texture issue (peeled off), the similar "after" picture shows that whole wall redone, and the close-up picture shows the two walls that meet in the corner - I did the wall on the right of the corner. Working with heather marks at creative custom interiors was wonderful! She does what she says she’s going to do in the time she has quoted! Working with her was very easy. She first did my bathroom which I absolutely loved! So I then let her do my kitchen which turned out beautiful! She is very professional and does such a great job! Heather is so amazing on the creative front!! I told her what I had been thinking for my house and she knew just how to work with what I wanted and at the same time nicely let me know how to do it even better!! I found that I could completely trust her and that this is not just a "Job" to her, but a "Calling/Destiny!" They are very careful with your house and they even let my dogs out one day when I was gone!! I love my house now and my colors calm me down!!!! :) If you're on the fence of who to hire, than hire Creative Custom Interiors!!!

Nothing could be further from the truth with Heather. The quality and care she puts into her work is equal or greater than what she would do in her own home. I've referred Heather to my clients for approximately 17 years. She can transform a room or fireplace or kitchen as if you had just torn everything down and put in new. She is a good listener and communicator. She is honest with the home owners about what can and can't be done. She does not mislead people just to get the job. Her sample boards are so helpful for the people who can't visualize how it will look after the transformation. I highly recommend Heather because she is one of the most talented people I know. She's very nice too :)
