Gary is amazing. His attention to detail, punctuality and trustworthiness are traits hard to find in a man as talented as him. While working on a closet in our master bedroom my wife came home and said “it’s so clean you wouldn’t even know he was here” a testament to him treating your home like his own!

Gary Douglas, The Fixer, is a genius! His attention to detail is spot on. Give him a problem and he'll find a solution. He took my outdated master bathroom and turned it into my dream bathroom. I highly recommend Gary for all things that need fixing.

We hired Gary from Fixer of Things years ago to paint our walls, re-tile our master bathroom & do overall handyman repairs around our condo. We couldn’t be happier with the results that he gave us. So happy that we have since hired him many more times to fix things in our new home. He wallpapered two rooms for us, installed wainscoting, installed Hardscape in our back yard, re-painted our deck, power washed our patio & did so many other jobs around our house. He even assembled our children’s trampoline & built our daughter’s coaster derby car from a derby car kit & she won 3rd place! If we need anything done, he’s the first person we contact. Gary can do everything! He’s very professional, takes pride in his work (& it shows) & is easy to work with. His prices are very reasonable & his workmanship is top notch. I’ve recommended him to several friends & they all agree that he’s the best around. We’d give him many more than 5 stars if we could.

Gary did a great job renovating my kitchen. He did the job quickly and under budget. His workmanship is 2nd to none and was very competitive on price.

My wife and I have hired Gary for a number of projects for our recently purchased house. Gary is very knowledgeable when it comes to presenting ideas for solutions. We've used him for projects anywhere from building our backyard shed, undercutting doors so that they swing properly, framing/building crawlspace access, adjusting interior doors to close correctly, sealing windows, fixing a leaking hose bib, installing decorative lattice under our front patio, among others. His pricing is very reasonable and is quick to come out to have a look at the task at hand. Gary works very quickly and neatly. I highly recommend Gary for all of your home repairs and upgrades.

Gary recently refinished our basement and did a great job. ..an excellent carpenter, pays a lot of attention to detail and had a lot of creative ideas which made our space ideal. He built out a bedroom and two closets for us as well. As a Realtor I often get the chance to refer contractors and handyman services but am hesitant unless i can trust them. Gary is an easy recommendation...

I highly recommend Vary Douglas!!! He was referred to me by my real estate agent to paint the condo I purchased on April. Gary was great to work with. He was on-time, his prices were reasonable and he did what he said he do (and more). What more can you ask? Not only did he do a great job with painting my condo, he also recommend a hardwood floor guy and acted as the general contractor to coordinate the flooring as well as the painting. He also can fix almost anything and helped out with some electrical work and installed a water line so my refrigerator's water/ice machine worked. I still use Gary how and have already recommended him to my neighbors. You won't go wrong in hiring Gary.

Gary was introduced to us by a contractor that was already working in our home. Having recently moved in, we were eager to change the 1/2 bath on our ground level to a full-bath, along with tiled flooring, and installing a tiled stand up shower. Unfortunately, our contractor was unable to complete the job before needing to leave town, which was when we really got to know Gary. Gary is one of the most professional, neat and knowledgable in the industry. He consistantly worked with us in choosing tile colors, light fixtures and paint colors; he even was extremely engaging and responsive when we would send him pictures of ideas via text message as well. Gary gave me a great quote, he was on time and had all the tools to install my fence and door! He was very respectful. I'm definitely going to call on Gary for my 2nd floor bathroom addition.

When I called Gary he responded quickly came the next day, gave me a quote the following day and started right away. His prices are very reasonable, his quality of work is par to none, very professinal, polite and kept in touch with me every step of the way. The job took more than we had expected to no fault of his, and he did not quite until the job was fully completed.
