My husband and I got referred to Good Space 9yrs ago. We bought into a century home which needed lots of updating in regards to color, function, lighting and style. Given we were new home owners there was no way we were going to be able do a major reno immediately. GS understood this and presented a plan to help us execute on improving the necessities at the given time with a limited budget. All the while keeping in mind we were also planning for a renovation in the future. We have now executed on the full renovation and we couldn't be happier. The original plan, products and planning all fit perfectly into the overall finished product. To top everything off the trades that GS has access to are all top quality and very professional. After doing a lot of research on the internet and also by calling several interior design professionals we decided to have our apartment redesigned by Good Space Online. This turned out to be an excellent choice. All through the process Dwaina and Molly have been very responsive and listened well to our thoughts and ideas. They came up with a plan which reflects what we asked for and more. They added details which seem to be tiny, but in the whole picture these details just make the apartment special. The design plan comes with a list of all the used materials and their prices which makes purchasing items very easy. After the design had been completed we had a number of questions regarding the furniture, renovations etc... Every question has been answered quickly and satisfactory. Good Space was a godsend for me. My work colleagues highly recommended Good Space. I had never worked with an interior designer. My experience and interest in interior design and purchase of appliances and furnishings probably ranked below zero on the one to ten interest chart on Good Space’s initial client questionnaire. I also have a busy work schedule, which contributed to my probable low ranking. It was therefore a challenge for me to complete the questionnaire. Good Space, however, helped me to understand the style of renovation and interior design with which I could be comfortable. Good Space provided me with a plan for the renovation and interior decoration of my studio condominium, originally constructed in 1977. The lead designer for our Good Space Plan worked closely with me, modifying the initial plan in response to my comments and then provided me with an impressive and thorough blueprint for implementing the plan. Dwaina Sprague, the Good Space principal, then recommended a contractor, Koru Construction, with whom she had worked and agreed to consult with the contractor through the renovation. Koru and Dwaina worked together to implement the Good Space plan, taking care to confirm decisions with me throughout the process. Dwaina and Molly Sprague also looked after selection and purchase of appliances, furnishings and linen, relieving me from all these detailed decisions. Thank you, Good Space! Good Space did a fantastic job on a wall unit as well as a complete do-over of two bathrooms. I love the design choices they made and my renovations turned out beautifully. Plus the service is cheerful and professional.

We had an excellent experience from day 1 with the entire team at Good Space Design. We hired the team to help us design/update several areas of our home and the process was extremely easy and fun! They helped us with layout, color selection, custom furniture, woodwork/tile, flooring, art and even the finishing touches. We hired Goodspace to help us design and furnish our new condo. The process was very easy and convenient. Everything was done remotely. We first had to hire a company to get our unit professional mapped out and measured. After sending those measurements to Goodspace, they quickly turned it around and set up meetings with us to discover our desires and tastes. After a couple weeks we were walked through the initial design for feedback. After a couple more rounds of this, we agreed on a final design and they gave us a list of everything we needed to get on our own with prices and source for where to purchase. Goodspace was able to work within our budget to make our place look and feel the best possible. The entire process was very simple and very pleasant. We had the pleasure of working with the Good Space Design Group to redecorate our family home in Vancouver. The scope of the project was to provide a comprehensive interior design plan to completely replace all interior furnishings, lighting fixtures, floor coverings and the wall decor. I am a professional civil engineer and was looking for a structured approach to the provision services. Good Space was the perfect fit. They have an excellent team, which works very well together to ensure their client's expectations are fully met. Our experience with Good Space started out with Molly, the Director of Operations, who explained clearly how the process works and was very helpful throughout the design process as I needed various questions answered and assistance with orders. Brent looks after business development and provided an excellent quotation for services. The project was completed on schedule and per the quoted price. Brent was very fair in dealing with the inevitable changes. Finally and most importantly, the design staff I worked with are very talented and were keen to understand and deliver a design concept that met all the client's expectations. Josephina, our designer was awesome and obtained excellent guidance from the firm's principal designer, Dwaina. At the end of the process, the Good Space plan was a versatile document, which included general design tips, customized drawings and specifications. The specifications included images of all items, pricing and sourcing information. This provides the client with the option of arranging services and purchasing products on their own, or through Good Space. We ended up doing a combination of the two and it worked out very well. We have further updating plans for our home and will be engaging Good Space again and highly recommend the firm to others.

Good Space Design Group has provided a detailed interior design plan that could be followed and executed by us on our own time. We decided on this route because we didn't have the time and budget to complete a total interior design plan all at once. That being said, we still wanted a complete and cohesive concept so in the end each room would work with the next whether they were completed this year or next. The design process was fun and they really made it comfortable to communicate any changes or dislikes we had with ideas or items. We are now going on our second year of this project (upstairs completed and now starting the main floor) and Good Space is still available to answer any questions, update design plans and work with us as needed. They have stood behind all trades and companies they recommend and have resolved issues on our behalf in a timely manner. Along with being a great team to work with, what we find very important is they are easy to reach and always work towards satisfying our concerns or need. Even after all this time we still feel we are valued customers. We look forward to completing our Good Space Design Group project.

Last spring my partner and I made some property changes that made us decide to downsize our Vancouver condo and upsize our weekend property on Bowen Island. We had the luxury of having a large condo for many years, so we were worried about how we were going to make the new smaller condo feel like a special place as well as ensure we maximized the limited storage. We hired Good Space and Josephina did a great job in creating a plan for us that reflected our life style and how we expected to use the space (more of a pied a terre than a principal residence) and suggested a range of different ways that we could have really efficient storage. The plan she created for us was easily executable. We are really happy with the choices she suggested and ultimately in the space that was created.

Good Space designed a plan for my husband's home office. I wanted to complete the project on a fairly tight timeline. From start to finish, I had a Good Space Plan (includes a shopping list where to find items locally) completed in two and half weeks, which we love. Our designer, Carena, was able to capture exactly what my husband was looking for through the initial questionnaire and the one-on-one conference calls. I used the services of Good Space to provide me with a plan for the interior decoration of 3 rooms in my home (dining room/living room, guest bedroom/office, and master bedroom). The lead designer for our Good Space Plan (Josephina) worked closely with us, modifying the initial Plan in response to our comments, and then provided us with a wonderful blueprint for implementing our Plan. It was invaluable for us to have exact colours and suggestions laid out in one binder and directions on where we could find each item. I'm certain it saved us from hundreds of hours of searching and numerous design mistakes. We followed our Good Space Plan very closely with very few modifications. I must say that we were often pushed outside of our comfort zone and, for some items, it was a total leap of faith. However, as we have seen everything come together, we are absolutely thrilled with the result! Josephina did an amazing job of helping us create the "atmosphere" we were looking for. Brent was very receptive and helpful when we ran into a couple of glitches during implementation of our Plan, and Molly was a gem in coordinating the ordering and delivery of several of our items. For a number of reasons, we implemented our Plan over several months. The one issue we had is that, by the time we were in a position to purchase some of the items in our Plan, the item was no longer available. However, Good Space always responded promptly in providing us with alternatives. Overall, Good Space did great work for us and I would highly recommend them.

Good Space helped us transform our dark, outdated apartment into a light, airy place of beauty. Lauren was so responsive to our ideas surrounding our kitchen, bathroom and powder room renovation and came up with a design plan that was incredibly easy to implement and supportive of our budget. I recently purchased my first home, an apartment unit in downtown Vancouver. I grew up watching the Home and Garden channel, and I always dreamed of having a space of my own that was both functional and beautiful. Since I was moving into a brand new space, I thought it was time for me to finally start that design journey. I found Good Space Design Plan online and decided it to give it a try. I like the "do-it-yourself" aspect of the plan, which makes it affordable. The plan takes all the guessing work out of the designing process (I hope I'm not the only one who asked him/herself "is this bed too big? what colour should I get?" etc, etc), but I still get the satisfaction of buying items on my own, bringing them home and installing them. I enjoy that process of getting bits and pieces together, and it's fun to see rooms come together slowly, but beautifully as outlined in the plan. The Good Space Design team is incredibly friendly and helpful. They responded to my questions and requests in a timely manner (most of the time, it was them who had to wait for me to answer their questions!). Through the process of completing the plan, I was able to reflect on what I really liked and disliked, and Josephina did an awesome job pulling all of my thoughts and ideas into a cohesive design, that was unique to my own. I don't think it would have been possible without her expertise. All in all, It was a pleasant (to say the least) experience working with them, and I would highly recommend them to others.

Good Space provided a binder that was a complete blue-print for the rooms we wanted to renovate and furnish. All details were there, from the paint colours of the kitchen cabinetry down to the throw pillows that should be on the sofa (that they chose). We were able to hire our own contractor (that we felt comfortable with) to do the actual construction labour and all he needed was to look at the binder, to know exactly how to execute the work. We absolutely LOVE the final product and would use them again in a heartbeat! We have already recommend them to other friends.

We hired Good Space Design to help us with our living room /great room. We don't live in Vancouver but in the Interior of BC and finding a good interior designer can be a real challenge. We were impressed with how thorough Lauren was - she asked us for numerous measurements (so many in fact that through measuring we found out that our fireplace was actually "out" an inch or so due to another tradesperson error). With the amound of information she required, we really got the sense that this wasn't going to be a "fluffy" design recommendation. She really delivered on a plan for our room that included everything we needed including the sources for where to purchase the furniture, lamps, rugs and even a suggestion on a plant for our space. We have started to enact the plan with the purchase of our new coffee table and a couple of other smaller pieces. My husband and I are very excited to have this all come together. I would not hesitate to use Good Space again. I have a few other rooms in mind :)

I used Good Space Plan Online www.goodspaceplan.com to do my living and dining room. I live in Edmonton and the online process was perfect for my location, life style and budget. My husband and I are both really busy with our work and we had very little time to go out and figure out what we needed and how it would all actually fit and work together. The process of Good Space online was fun, smooth and really straight forward. Using our Good Space Plan my husband and I were able to develop our complete budget before we started shopping. Because we had clear instructions, we had fun together spending the limited time we had with productive shopping outings and making effective online buying decisions. Our rooms are finished and beautiful; truthfully I know they never would have been if I didn’t go through this process. I did a little relaxing DIY project on my Grandmothers dining table with the time I didn’t spend wandering aimlessly in and out of stores! The rooms are now cozy and complete! Thank you Good Space!

We had a wonderful experience working with Lauren and the rest of the team at Good Space for our remodel in 2012. We were looking for a complete design for our master bedroom, en suite and main bathroom but we had a fixed budget for design fees. Lauren was able to provide us with a beautiful design that included drawings, detailed specifications, instructions on where to purchase everything and even contractor recommendations. We were so pleased with the whole experience that we just hired Lauren again to redesign our entire main living floor areas. Somehow, the entire experience went even smoother and turned out beyond our expectations. Highly recommended.

We searched for quite awhile trying to find a design company that fit our budget and one we felt confident to hire. We decided to go with the Good Space Plan which in the end, gives you an entire book with a shopping list, prices, places to go, detailed pictures of each item, samples of fabric and wallpaper and instructions on how to make your home beautiful. After your final design meeting you take your book home and get started at your own pace. For us this works perfect since furnishing an entire house is expensive. From the first beginning phone conversation with Brent to our last meeting with Josephina and Dwaina, we were extremely happy. They make designing your home easy. They make you think out of the box and they show you things you'd never think of. At times when we were hesitant on certain items, they assured us that in the end it will look great and that we have to remember the 'big picture'. They were right and in the end it all comes together perfectly. We were actually quite shocked at how well they could design our entire home for us by just reading a few small things about us and going through our LookBook on Houzz.com. Brent, Dwaina and Josephina were a pleasure to work with: organized, professional, talented and responsive. They set and met my expectations, and delivered a user-friendly, exciting and unique redecorating plan for four rooms in my house: living, dining, new office, and bedroom. They also chose a paint colour (with a couple of alternatives) for the whole interior and some selected items for a few other rooms; e.g. light fixtures, tile, furniture. They delivered what they said they would, on time and on budget. While I've just began to implement the plan, I appreciate their approach which is to help as little or as much as I need as I go through the process. I highly recommend this business. My husband and I new to Vancouver, hired Good Space Design to build a design plan for our main floor Townhouse. They executed a well-designed plan, my bible, used to work with tradesmen and retailers (this design plan binder is fabulous!). I executed 100% of their plan. It was quite the challenge, but the personnel at Good Space Design worked with me, wherever their responsibilities and obligations dictated. I could not be more pleased with the results. The project is still on-going, so upon final completion I can upload more pictures with this review. The challenge was completing the project and ordering all the goods within a short time frame.

I wanted to fix up my house, add some storage, create a nicer entry and make the kitchen a bit bigger. Good Space came to my rescue! From the 1st moment we were in contact , they made everything so easy. They listened to what I thought I wanted. When I went to their office to review their ideas, it was so informative, fun, educational and I was provided with different options of what could be done. When the design was complete, I was provided with a beautiful book that has ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING you and your contractor will need. The contractor I hired is super impressed with what they have provided. We have both been recommending others to hire Good Space before you embark on any type of renovation. You truly won't be sorry. I absolutely loved working with my designer Lauren Webb. She really added some lovely touches to the design. Also want to thank Dwaina Sprague and Molly for making me feel so relaxed and welcome when I was a little overwhelmed with everything. Our project has been delayed until August due to my husbands schedule. But have started the work on the outside. We can hardly wait to see our finished project!

Goodspace saved us a lot of time and second-guessing/arguing, which is what I wanted. And they created an easy-to-use workable plan, which I'm in the process of implementing on my own with a contractor. They also helped with little questions later, and getting samples. They were able to take our tastes into account and came up with a good plan which I've been able to use with getting contractor quotes and finding the goods they suggested. Overall, working with our Goodspace designer Lauren, was excellent. They responded to our questions promptly and have a friendly atmosphere and they listen to your needs. I would use them again in our next home.

We are very happy to recommend Good Space. We were first introduced to Good Space (GS) at an interior design show a few years back and liked their unique full service design and style approach, which is especially appealing for folks like us who like to be involved both in the design and execution but don't have time to be out picking 1 tile from thousands. What drew us in was that they also provide the final look right down to picking out bedding and throw cushions. We were in serious need of their expertise as we were looking to update the top floor suite of our house. The house is in it's original state from the 70's (carpet included). GS blew us away with their plans, opening the space up removing a corridor making the bedrooms larger and allowing space for in-suite laundry. Something that we never would have thought of. The team at GS provided excellent, professional and friendly service. We are so impressed with all the fine details and drawings, they have saved us countless countless hours of decision making. Our Good Space Plan binder contains everything we need to get pricing or alternates, with drawings to reference. Now that we have our plan I feel a sense of relief walking into showrooms and showing them exactly what we want rather than being dizzy and overwhelmed with all the options out there. We look forward to getting started soon and seeing the finished product. I hired Good Space in the fall of 2011 to prepare a customized "Plan" for updating and increasing storage in the interior of a two bedroom condo built in 1974. The recent installation of a new kitchen and two new bathrooms had made the rest of the home seem out of date and tired. The Plan was completed, as promised, about a month after I first met with the designers Dwaina and Lauren at Good Space. I was truly blown away with my Plan, to say the least. I was amazed at how well Dwaina and Lauren were able to capture my personal style, as well as to introduce fresh and current ideas which worked beautifully with my newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms, and within my prescribed budget. Their experience and talent really shows in my Plan. Since receiving my Plan, I have been working my way through it and the upgrades, and have now (July 2013) almost finished updating every room of the condo (see some of the before and after photos). I have found the Plan to be very user friendly because of its extensive detail, which includes, among many other details, fabric samples and photographs of every piece of furniture, photographs of all lighting and room accessories, drawings of room layouts and millwork, pricelists and loads of general design advice. The Plan also contains a list of recommended tradespersons, and of those I hired, I found them also to be excellent. Overall, I found the pricing quoted by Good Space was very accurate, both for the Plan itself and for the recommended upgrades. I required little assistance from Good Space after I received my Plan because of its detail, but on a couple of occasions I did call for advice or to buy furniture and was promptly assisted for no extra charge. Brent and Molly were extremely helpful in promptly relaying information to the designers or in following up with whatever assistance I required. Of the new furniture (living room and den) I purchased through Good Space, everything was great value and according to the estimated timing and prices. At no time did I ever feel pressure to buy anything through Good Space, which I did feel with a previous designer whom I engaged briefly before hiring Good Space. The extensive detail in the Plan makes it easy to shop for the recommended items yourself, and in some cases, find a better price online, for example. Overall, I cannot say enough about how pleased I have been with the Plan and the people at Good Space. My home is now truly beautiful. The Plan is an excellent product and relatively inexpensive, in my view. The designers are very professional and talented, and the other members of the Good Space team have been extremely helpful. I have recommended other people to Good Space and would not hesitate to do so again both for quality and value for cost.

I was intrigued by the Good Space Plan ever since reading about it in a newspaper article. A year later, I met Dwaina at a trade show and found her to be extremely friendly, welcoming, and creative. When I contacted Good Space for a quote, I met her brother Brent, who is very organized and professional, and just as friendly. They both make interior design a lot less intimidating. And their Good Space Plan makes interior design a lot more accessible and affordable. They helped me develop a comprehensive design plan for my home, which gave me a lot of confidence in moving forward and purchasing furniture items. I loved the highly detailed binder that they put together; I carried it everywhere with me, pouring over all the descriptions and measurements while executing the plan. I found it rewarding to put in my own hard work and be a part of the finished product (I also saved money that way). I love the way my space turned out, and it makes me happy to live in it. Overall, it was a really fun process, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

My experience with Good Space has been spectacular. From the first initial meeting, until months later when I needed advice. Their care and attention to detail has made all the difference. We gave GS a task (front hall, living room and dining room) to make our three spaces cohesive and reflect both our tastes. The plan that they came back with was right on the mark. The selling point for us was that you can execute their plan on your own time and as your budget allows. Brilliant! We will definitely be using their expertise again.

Good Space were amazing to work with. Our living room / dining room and entry hall needed some serious help and my wife and I were seriously stuck. The plan they put together is awesome. It is so easy-to-use and helpful - my wife often totes the binder around for easy access to all the measurements, colour and fabric samples and art suggestions, she even brought it on vacation with us! As we implemented our plan, the team were all so helpful with all our questions and queries. I would gladly recommend Good Space to anyone considering making improvements to their home interiors.

We first met with Dwaina, Josephina, and Lauren at Good Space to get help planning two small condo renovations (incl., kitchen, bathrooms, floors, lighting, and window coverings). They tactfully steered us away from a couple of ill-conceived design ideas we first presented (whoops!) and suggested alternatives that, in the end, were smarter and made better use of our budget. The final plans for both condos were beautiful and kept us on track to realize the “big picture” (which happened in stages). To save $$ we hired our own trades, who were able to follow the clearly written plans to the letter. Wouldn’t hesitate to work with Good Space and their fun, talented team again.

Look no further for an interior design group. Seriously. This company is THAT good. So good in fact that even though they are based in Vancouver, BC, I hired them to design a room in my Bellingham, WA home. They couldn't have made the process easier. I sent them photos and measurements of my space and then a few weeks later...BAM....you receive an amazing design for your room. They take out the guess work; they tell you what to get and where to put it. Don't like something? Tell them and they will work with you until you are happy. I love that they just give you the plan and the shopping list and that at your own pace you can begin purchasing the items to complete the look. It gives the homeowner a lot of confidence knowing that each piece you are purchasing will come together in one fantastic whole. Products suggested for me ranged from high end to CB2 to IKEA. A great mix and budget friendly. Friendly. Skilled. Creative. What more could you want?

We asked Good Space to design a plan for the entire upstairs of our townhouse and were extremely happy with the design plan they created. We were surprised by some of the ideas that they suggested but the whole design works well together and each room compliments the others. We especially loved the ideas they suggested that we would not have thought of ourselves. And the after care has been tremendous. When I have a question I just email and Laura Webb replies with an answer promptly. She has been very encouraging and sympathetic to the stress that living in a renovation can cause. She has been a great sounding board and honest with us. All the designers and staff have been encouraging and helpful. They designed a lovely bedroom space for our son with special needs to relax in. Throughout the process we have found Good Space to be professional, friendly and courteous. They are also good at listening to your needs. I would recommend them to anyone looking for design inspiration.

We've had Good Space do remodelling projects for us in the past and we've just finished building our new home where they were involved from start to finish. Dwaina took the plans from the architect and translated them into a comfortable, liveable home for us. Her team diligently worked through every stage with our builder, being ever cognizant of life style needs and budgeting issues. The end result has been a home that, although modern in design, feels like home and not a hotel. LOVE these ladies :)

Good Space Team were wonderful to work with. Exceptional ideas on how to update our very out of date 80s home. Once we received our Good Space Plan we had all the time we needed to take on the renovation; no pressure what so ever. Perfect! Very professional without an ounce of attitude. Bit by bit, weekend by weekend and sometimes pay cheque-by-paycheque, we've been making our Good Space Plan a reality. And that, in no small way, is the beauty of a Good Space Plan. How long would we have waited, on our own (and not really understanding what we were looking for), to find the "perfect couch"? How many end-of-season clearance sections would have lured us into (hind-sight) bad purchases? That's how we used to do and it kills us to think of all the money we wasted and time we spent living in less than homey-homes. With the help of Good Space's online service, we were able to quickly narrow down what the heart of our room would be (how we were truly going to use it) and what the actuality of our space would allow (what would actually look good). The online platform was easy to use and our designer, Josephina, was involved with us the whole way through, providing her input and ideas. Doing it online actually worked better for our already hectic work/kid schedules (we didn't have to take time off or be in the same place to meet- we even skyped in to our reveal meeting from our own offices!). Good Space was also able us to save us from the rut of the previous owner's paint selection. The totally traditional mid-century colour scheme was never totally us, despite the parts we did love. Good Space helped us make it modern and us - in a way we could never have imagined on our own. I also loved how Josephina selected items from places we already shop or could get online - it made certain parts really easy to execute. As for budget - I would have never thought we could afford the help of a designer. But Good Space really worked with what we had and made sure nothing was too far out of reach or incompatible with our kids. There were definitely a few items we had to save for, but I think it's those special "life pieces" I've ended up loving the most. My only regret is that we didn't plan out a few more rooms! Pretty much everyone we know is in the same position of having bought a house that needs more than a little work or re-freshing. And sometimes it can be really frustrating to not have that home-sweet-home feeling. That's why it feels so good to have our Good Space Plan on our side. We know it won't always be this way and we can actually see the plan coming together. Lastly - size and scale. Unless you're a designer, you really don't know anything about it. I would have never in a million years picked the over-sized ottoman or light fixture, but they are the pieces that stand-out in the room and bring it all together. I found Good Space Design Group in HOUZZ. After looking at photos of their projects and visiting their thorough and informative website I set up a complimentary meeting. I was introduced to the team and had an overview of the binder provided which would eventually be the guide to decorating our new condo. After filling out a 'style profile' questionnaire, a home visit from one of the designers and sharing all our HOUZZ idea books, we later attended a two hour session at Good Space and received a comprehensive plan addressing four specific elements of design; function, surfaces, light, and goods. The plan included scaled floor plans, photos, fabric samples, detailed specifics on all suggested purchases, guidelines for implementation (including a trade list), a detailed budget, and tips on styling. We are in the process of making our plans a reality and Good Space has been extremely flexible and supportive along each step. We are thrilled with the experience and the final result which Good Space made sure was a "true reflection of who we are and the way we live".

Good Space is incredible. We were skeptical about working with an interior design firm, worried about how much it would cost or whether the final designs would reflect our tastes or our designer's. But their process and their team puts you in the driver's seat: the Good Space team is just there to steer you correctly down the right path for you. Their designers are smart, talented and a lot of fun to work with. And by talking with us and really getting to know us, they were able to develop a design plan that completely fit with the way we live and, more importantly, the way we want our home to look and feel. Their Good Space Plan product is really cool, giving us detailed design plans that we can execute whenever we feel like it, on our own timing and budget. I would recommend them to anyone.
