Andrew, Greg, Alana and Kai are an absolute powerhouse of listening collaboration design skills plus a heaping of hard work. When I initially interview them for the job out of all the other architects they possessed the qualities I knew Id need to get my 30msq to the boundry design across the line. They have since proven this throughout the planning stage time and time again going well above what i've asked and have taken me though the process with the utmost confidence bringing the right methodologies' to bear on the design at the right times. We are now working through working drawings and their combined wealth of knowledge is proving most invaluable. Don't hesitate to get in touch with them ask the directors on the projects they worked on before they even opened up their design office and you will see what I mean in terms of experience. As for affordability and I did shop around what they have brought to the table they where the best priced zero regrets. Look forward to updating this review once we complete the build.

We have used Urban Creative on several projects. An 18 story development for mixed use and a derelict cottage circa 1858 in St.Kilda. The cottage included restoration works and a re-build with an additional kitchen, lounge, garage with bedroom, ensuite bathroom and storage above. Both developments later required a total design change. Urban Creative followed the new briefs, (which were fairly vague) and again, with their creative produced new designs that were equally wonderful. They guided both projects through convoluted council processes, culminating in two permits for the cottage. The second cottage design is in construction. Thank you to Andrew and Greg and the team. We are just about to start building and we can highly recommend Andrew and his team. From the initial concept through design, council permit and tendering they have been excellent. It was clear from our first meeting that their priority is to fulfil their clients’ expectations and guide them along the way. They listened carefully to our brief with some constructive feedback and have created a design that we very much look forward to live in. In order to meet our budget, they worked closely with our Structural Engineer to optimise the building, eliminate risk to neighbouring properties and minimise costs with many clever solutions. They also supported us during the tendering process to ensure clear and detailed instructions to all bidding builders and managed 2 rounds of feedback with great professionalism ensuring the builders remained invested in the project. Andrew is also incredibly knowledgeable on how to navigate the Council permit process and coordinate with the planning department to obtain the desired outcome. My neighbours renovated their place before us and had a horrible time with the planning permit process having to give up some of their initial wishes. I was very apprehensive as we wanted similar features for our renovation. Fortunately, Andrew was able to demonstrate the merits of the design to Council and make them proponents of our project which ensured a rapid planning permit approval. This was our first renovation and Andrew provided us with invaluable guidance and advice that exceeded our expectations. Thank you Andrew, Greg, Alanna and Kai, you are a fantastic team.

From the first meeting Andrew instilled confidence in his ability to create a project for us on a very tight and unique site and with a tight budget yet still with unique and very attractive architectural style and ticking all our boxes in terms of usability and modern conveniences. Andrew and Greg both paid huge attention to detail and considered a multitude of aspects to satisfy all possible points of view, whilst still readily giving us every opportunity to give our input on the design, and they were absolutely brilliant in thereby also overcoming a very unsupportive council. Urban Creative was hired to design a new development and partial demolition and renovation of the existing property. Found them to be very knowledgable in understanding design requirements particularly in a sensitive heritage overlay area. Most impressive, their willingness to follow thru from pre application stage to building commencement. Can confidently recommend and have done so already.

I had the privilege to build one of Urban Creatives designs. The architectural drawings were very thorough and easy to work off, which was a welcoming change. Being so confident and clear in their design, it created a smooth and enjoyable build for myself and more importantly our client. Andrew's knowledge of products and materials was first class, as was his ability to communicate it to me all throughout the project. It was an absolute pleasure to get to be part of an Urban Design project and I can only hope I get the chance again.

I engaged Andrew & Greg to realise a broad concept for two townhouses. The design works with the natural slope of the site and cleverly allows for double parking to both units without the garages being visible from the street. The UrbanCreative team have overcome planning constraints and authority issues to produce a contemporary classic design. I would not hesitate to recommend them for future projects!

I engaged Andrew and Urban Creative after meeting with four architect firms. I chose Urban Creative as Andrew soon demonstrated his knowledge, flexibility and ability to design the property we desired on a site with a number of constraints and within a tight budget. Urban Creative provided all planning and architecture services from a feasibility study through to construction supervision. The planning process was very smooth and Andrew managed subcontractors (geotechnical, structural, traffic consultants etc.) to maximise efficiencies and ensure the desired outcome.
