Gulf Coast Audio Video began business as an ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) and HAA (Home Acoustics Alliance) calibration company in April 2001, but we quickly discovered that everyone really needed an audio/video installation dealer they could trust and come back to over and over, so we grew our business to fill that need. Then, after seeing the many good clients that kept getting sold the wrong equipment for their needs (and often at a higher price than we could have sold them the correct equipment for) we decided to offer customized service of sales. We met our clients at their homes or "soon-to-be-built" homes and customized plans for their audio/video needs. Then we purchased the exact equipment needed, stored it briefly, then installed it exactly when needed, teaching our partner/clients how to use every piece of equipment with one-touch remotes ("based on "Watch TV" or "Watch DVD" so everything can easily switch on by one button press). From this we discovered that there were many people who then needed help after building their homes but were not wired correctly to do what they were expecting to regarding home theater, lighting, LAN connections, etc. It was then that we added prewiring during construction to our repertoire. Then in late 2011 we were finally convinced there was an affordable system that our clients could use to control the automated functions of their home, from home theater, to lighting, air conditioning, cameras, door locks, sprinklers, garage door openers, swimming pools, saunas/hot tubs, electric blinds or hurricane shutters and much, much more. We found and added the award winning Control 4 system to our tool bag. We can now truly help our clients anywhere from a set of floor plans to a finished home or business.
