Jo and Maggie set up Harris Stephens Design in 2006 bringing together two well established businesses with over 25 years of experience to offer a complete service, covering all aspects of interior design, soft furnishings and upholstery. We also offer a recovering service that will give your furniture a new lease of life; often just changing the colour or texture of the top cover will change the whole room and the way you feel about it. If you have a style you wish to create or an idea from a picture or magazine, a favourite 'must-have' fabric, then bring it to us and we will be delighted to offer advice and knowledge on how best to make your ideas reality. Harris Stephens replied promptly to our enquiry about the upholstery on 2 sofas. The advice we received about the fabric was especially useful as the choice can be overwhelming. Their years of experience and knowledge was evident and we were very pleased with the outcome. The Knowle sofa was transformed and looks amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Harris Stephens; their professionalism and attention to detail was second to none.

There aren’t enough superlatives for Maggie and Jo!!They have made me curtains for our whole house and to say that the curtains are gorgeous and I am pleased would be an understatement!!Beautiful work and so helpful with everything along the way.Don’t hesitate to hire this fab duo!

What a beautiful set of curtains and blinds I now have thanks to Harris Stephens Design. Maggie is very patient when helping you select fabric that will work and has an eye for being able to spot what will match beautifully. They are very professional and produced a lovely end result. Very pleased with my new curtains and blind. Happily recommend them to anyone needing curtains/blinds.

Having moved into a barn conversion that needed quite a bit of work doing to it, when we finally got round to thinking about curtains and blinds for some quirky windows we approached Jo and Maggie - and we are really very pleased with the results! Their help and advice throughout was invaluable and much appreciated. We now have roman blinds at windows with arched tops and some beautiful curtains on gorgeous poles. All extremely well-made and fitted perfectly. Throughout the process Jo and Maggie were professional, courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our blinds and curtains look amazing!

Having received several quotes, we chose Maggie & Jo to re-upholster our old 3 seater Chesterfield. They've done an amazing job, & it looks fantastic ! Very happy to recommend them.

This company is great to work with both maggie and jo did blinds for or holiday home in bude. The selection of fabrics were amazing and the quality of the finished product was excellent !!! They also recovered an old sofa which they transformed the lounge overnight. Will definitely use them again!

Jo and Maggie have triumphed again - prompt service and immaculate finish every time. Loose covers / fixed covers/renovation - always done to a high standard. Always meet my standards. Would highly recommend them and will continue to use them in future projects.

Fantastic results - a wonderful job. My Laura Ashley sofa has been loose covered, with the addition of 4 new scatter cushions, it all looks far better than when it was new!! I was recommended to this Company by a friend, and will be doing likewise. A First Class job - on time and at the price quoted.
