Impressions Landscape - Design’s Horticulture Division have been tending to our garden and lawns each month for over 9 months and were instrumental prior to that in the plant out during installation, bringing to life the incredible Plant Design by Adam McDonald. The garden has evolved way beyond expectations within it's first year. Whilst many factors I dare say have come into this, I first and foremost naturally wish to recommend the owners of Impressions - the 2 Adams. Thank you for doing what you do so well. No one could be happier than I for the vision, attention to detail, care and enthusiasm that Adam McDonald - the Head Designer brought and continues to bring. Thank you so much Adam! Nor with Adam Tanko, who is a great man of all trades and the General Manager - I will be forever grateful for his genuine support shown to me and for his vast Landscaping & Construction industry knowledge and understanding of Operations. More thanks to you than you can imagine Adam! Together their hunger & drive to want to deliver like no tomorrow is also superb. If you are seeking a company led by trail-blazers in a really natural way - it's these two and I tend feel they are even yet to hit their absolute pinnacle. To be a part of that would be pretty amazing! They just get it. Not to mention the company's fussiness & impeccable sourcing of plants. No company is without it's team; and for that I wish to draw attention to the meticulous care and knowledge of Keith the Horticulture Manager and the Hort team, to which the bulk of this review is on. Similarly, a big thank you is extended to Michael the Construction Division Manager for all the wonderful foundational construction work and irrigation work actioned and led by you and your team during the project. Thank you Mick. The word respect does not begin to describe how I see their work and they themselves. From the start it was evident the level of in depth knowledge, passion and dedication that Keith brings to his work. As with all of Adam Tanko’s & Adam McDonald’s company, the Hort team are professional & courteous and the neighbours in the street attest to this too, making the Monthly Maintenance Visits and sometimes the pop ins to cast an eye over things in between, quite welcoming and acceptable to all. It's true customer service. It's more than that - this company as a whole have the customer experience down to a T and a good one at that. With nature being nature, as one would expect, minor things of course happen in the garden and the timely manner in which Impressions respond in terms of both care & the degree of service is what stands them apart in my eyes. Nothing is too much effort and they don’t hesitate to deliver. They are trustworthy. The best part is that they truly “know” the garden. This absolute familiarity enhances the gardens ability to thrive even more so I believe. It is clearly apparent that they want the best for the gardens they have created, they truly treat them as theirs, which is pretty special. I actually see it as theirs completely too. They want the best for the gardens, for their clients and in turn as a company they continue to soar to new heights themselves in my eyes. As a client the detailed monthly reports received are always appreciated, as is Keith's manner in ensuring an understanding is ascertained of the work carried out during the visits. It is through Impressions Landscape Design's instagram page and Impressions Horticulture instagram page (both definitely worth a look!) that I’ve also seen the fine results of the level of skill, knowledge & care that this company as a whole have brought to other properties and gardens and very much what I have been privileged to encounter first hand, that I wholeheartedly recommend Impressions Landscape - Design. A happy client indeed.

Could not be more pleased that we got to work with Impressions Landscape - Design and that they took on the project. It was genuinely an honour! They have transformed our property in a manner that is now visually and functionally beautiful and seamless in the sense that it just truly works. The way in which the gorgeous garden combinations both soften and creatively compliment the sleekly designed hardscape components of the landscaping truly are a credit to them and to their ability. Am honestly looking forward to seeing how the garden continues to evolve over the years - bringing more interest and life to the space, all in relation to the incredible intent of the design. To have gone from a rather 1980's stuck in time, tragic & dire, therefore not looked after outdoor space that was kind of awful to be in and to also look out upon from inside, to now what exists, is beyond doubt, mind blowing. The areas are now so vibrant and inviting, and it absolutely blows me away to see how they have transformed and worked it to work so wonderfully with the house too. At every point this Landscaping company delivered. From the concept stage right through to the construction & installation stages. From the lovely and friendly manner in which the Directors and the Accounts Team corresponded through to the wonderful manner in which the Directors, Construction Manager and Horticulture Manager & the respective Teams truly brought themselves to the project, along with the way they communicated when onsite and on the phone. They kept us across everything and approached their time here in such a way that it was not intrusive, and funnily enough became such a normal part of everyday life and in a good way - which is key to happy times. They are professional through and through and they know how to balance delivering those high standards in a way that is also relaxed and was therefore welcomed from this end. They made it normal and that was everything. What could have easily felt like a lingering, messy and disruptive time was actually quite the opposite and this is entirely due to how Impressions approach their work and relationship with their clients. Adam Tanko - you were such a delight to get to know. Truly. Thank you for your absolute dedication, your vast knowledge, fantastic design & construction skills and your admirable ability to manage all operations of your business as the General Manager - both the seen and dare say, the integral unseen components of running successful projects and that of your business. Know that you are highly appreciated. In addition to that, your good nature, warmth, honesty and openness are qualities that made it feel right. That and your, willingness and ability, in conjunction with Adam's & Mick's, to find solutions when required and the right ones at that, will always be treasured. Never was there a time I was worried. I may have asked questions, but that was out of interest and I always knew you had my back and it's genuinely because of the 3 of you, and the incredible trust and confidence that I simply found in each of you from the start, that allowed me to feel that way. Thank you, always. Adam McDonald - If there was ever a Head Designer I wanted on board - you are it. Thank you so much for bringing your exquisite vision, for being the perfectionist that you are - which in relation to this type of work, is of course greatly welcomed and for your exemplary and I'll even say supernatural horticulture knowledge. The devotion and excitement that you bring to your business in partnership with Adam is so commendable and a true testament to your love of your craft and all that you do. Thank you also for your willingness to listen and respect that if I had something to say, either being a question or more than often me simply wanting to express how wonderful I thought the work was and mostly that of you all (and yes, that was quite a bit!), that it was important to me to do so. It truly means a lot that you gave me that time and in such a warm, humble and truly kind way too. Thank you, always. Michael - What can I say, you made this all work and come together. You did. Impressions Landscape - Design have created our absolutely stunning & beautifully designed garden and outdoor areas. A true gift in more ways than one. Nearing the end of the project now, it is simply fitting to reflect and share insight into their standards of excellence and how this extends across all respects. National Industry Landscape Design Awards are one thing and Impressions Landscape - Design have them a plenty, accolades which clearly reflect their exemplary level of talent, craftsmanship and leadership in their industry. This in itself should stand alone as the incredible praise and value for and of this company, and yet honestly, is purely a gleaming highlight, as it’s the solid foundations of them as a business and just as importantly as people, that truly make this Company what it is - and it's that which is at the core of my respect for them and the basis of this review. As a professional who on a daily basis mentors and leads other companies in the strategy of best business practice and primarily in the importance of creating and delivering on experience, Impressions have all of this "in the bag" and did so from the first very first point of contact. Having a clear understanding of the initial consultation process and the steps that follow - ascertained both from their informative copy on their website and outlined by Adam McDonald prior to and during the consultation, the professional and passionate delivery that Adam brought to our consultation truly won me over. Adam's enthusiastic communication and genuine care that he took to get a real sense of our budget and what we "hoped for" through careful and considered questions and listening intently during the consultation was above and beyond all other companies we dealt with. Working with my initial notions, purely a few thoughts in my mind of our wants and needs, he was able to formulate this into a true vision and it became a reality in his unbelievably talented creative mind. From that first meet I knew it would be good. If only I knew how much! All I knew at that stage, was we simply had to work with Adam and his company Impressions, and had my fingers crossed that the design would be incredible to match the amazing first sense that we had been blessed to encounter. Incredible is an understatement for the vision that was in Adam's design. The detail and insight that was provided during the design process and in all communications, clearly demonstrated the degree of talent and also extensive hours that had been applied and dedicated to this design for us. Adam's expertise of construction knowledge is tenfold and his down to earth ability along with the degree of respect shown to ensure that I actually understood the process and was across decisions, will always be greatly appreciated. He loves what he does and he does it sensationally. The construction and installation stage of our outdoor areas truly has been astounding. Managed and brought to life by Michael and supported by the team at Impressions, along with both Directors doing their “zone of genius” work which is very impressive to see, there would not be a company that you could be happier to welcome and have in your home. Michael's knowledge, ridiculously high end range of skills, ability to project manage in such a calm and cohesive manner, along with his genuine care to be fastidious with all elements has led to the transformation of our property to what it is now, something that was never thought imaginable. Nothing is ever deemed too much trouble and Michael’s work ethic and manner goes without saying - it’s impeccable. A complete outdoor transformation, understandably takes time and to have a company full of people that you genuinely like and look forward to seeing on a daily basis, has made for a wonderful experience this year, it truly has. These guys do more than ever expected, some of which cannot be encapsulated into words. With the lovely experience, it was an absolute given for us to continue the relationship with Impressions through their Horticulture Team. Keith's out of this world knowledge, manner, care and skills exemplify all the values of Impressions and I very much look forward to having Keith and the team maintain our beautifully evolving garden for many year to come. Never and I mean never, have I ever wanted to, nor actioned paying for work and service quicker than what I have for Impressions. One reason - they deserve it without a doubt. This company and most importantly the people, make you smile. They are real. They care. They are the epitome of value. They are a stand out. They are highly professional. They love what they do. They are fun. They are a dream company. They are leaders in their industry. They are the definition of knowing how to deliver above and beyond. They are the whole package. They have made my year. If I magically owned another property I’d have them there in a flash to go through this wonderful experience very happily again with them.

Had a bad experience with this company. I booked them in for an initial consultation to renovate the facade of our house and re-do the landscaping of the front garden. Adam showed up and took some photos, but didn't seem engaging at all. Everytime I tried to discuss what could be done with the renovation, he mumbled very vague answers. He handed me 2 magazines of backyard designs and asked me if there was anything I liked. I said I liked a few of them but it was a different kind of design altogether. He refused to be drawn in on discussions regarding scope of the renovation, common themes, colours, ideas, and all he said in regards to budget was that his company did not engage in anything less than $100K. Before I knew it, he was asking me for a payment of $330 for his "consultation". I didn't have cash so he left and said he would post an invoice. Two days later, I get an email asking me to pay his invoice. A week later , I received a 1-page "proposal" which stated that he will provide a design to me for $5800, and if wanted any changes made to the design, I would have to pay him $160 hour an hour, on top of the $5800. I wrote him an email telling him that he seems to have missed a step in this whole engagement. I told him I felt that before someone hands over $5800 for a design, there needs to be a common understanding of scope, common grounds on the design and importantly an agreed budget. He wrote back and said thank you for your comments, we will take them onboard. He did not try to amend his proposal or offer a second visit to agree on basic principles. I got an email again today asking me to pay the invoice of $330 which is now overdue. I feel quite angry for having to pay $330 for someone to have come over, taken a few photos, and wasted an hour of my life refusing to engage in any conversations.

Impressions handled our backyard makeover from start to finish, providing full design concepts, budgets, plans then carrying out all the work. From the very beginning everyone was sympathetic to our ideas, never once telling us what we should have. The design was a creative use of our basic thoughts with professional treatments that made the difficult space come alive & I was always included in the creative process. Every member of the team was totally professional, well presented & courteous & above all, committed to creating a unique & high quality finish. Neighbours also had high praise for the way construction was as quiet as possible, non-interfering & the daily clean-ups! I have no hesitation recommending Impressions for any job - large or small. We had a wonderful experience working with the Impressions team! My husband and I both busy lives and were looking for an beautiful but low maintenance garden that we could enjoy with the kids in our spare time. Right from our initial consult with Adam and Ben we knew we'd found the right team for the job. The design we received was even better than we had imagined! Initially, we had planned to hire Impressions just to design the garden but after getting off to such a great start we decided to have them build and plant as well. It was so worth the money in the end - they are a great team of guys, always professional and willing to go the extra mile to see that their clients are happy. In a nut shell I have only fabulous things to say about Adam and his team. We differ a little from most of impressions clients as we were looking for assistance in the design only. We met with Adam on site to discuss our style and vision. What he came back with was a design that met our brief to an absolute T. We wanted something luscious, modern, family friendly that we could happily stare at from our patio for hours on end. Not only did we get this we also got a design that would draw us into the back yard. There wasn't a single element I asked to be changed - right down to plant selection. I have flashed my landscape plans to anyone standing still long enough and willing to have a look - a testament to how excited I am to see this come to life. Highly recommended!

Impressions Landscape created a complete garden design for the front and back of our Battleaxe block. Impressions built most of their design including planting, irrigation systems, water feature around the existing pool and a Cabana which holds an outdoor kitchen, which we purchased ourselves. The team at Impressions were extremely professional, courteous and hard working. The project took a little longer than projected, but the end result was exactly what we were looking for. We would recommend this company to anyone wanting that little bit extra in garden design and creation. Well done impressions!
