Janet Ott is a great interior decorator and a fabulous physical plant designer. She works along side of the architects to ensure a superior overall design that functions and flows with your space.

Janet is very professional, personable, helpful and "hands on". She listens to the client's desires, needs and wants and is extremely adept at incorporating all of these elements into a beautiful design. Her communication and timely responses to the contractors is excellent, allowing the project to run very smoothly. It was our pleasure to work with Janet!

Janet was creative and responsive. I was out of the area and she communicated very well. We live the completed space. We are very pleased with the attention we received plus Janet was very respectful of our budget.

Janet came highly recommended to us and we are still in gratitude for the wonderful efforts she put into our design project for our Student Ministry building at Heritage United Methodist Church in Clearwater, FL. Janet is not only professional, but personal - she truly listens and takes into consideration her clients' needs in a caring, understanding, and efficient manner that puts everyone involved at ease. Janet made each decision for us go smoothly and her organization to oversee the whole picture was fantastic. She was very consistent with our budget and finish schedule - we could not have asked for better attention to detail! Her effective use of color and textiles are brilliant! The harmonious interior backgrounds have stood the test of time over the past three years and a LOT of foot traffic - still looks just as new as when we opened!

Recently I was privileged to watch my friend Janet of Janet Ott Inc at work during a site visit to one of her beautiful design projects. During the last several years I have had the chance to see Janet at work in her design studio, as she made color, texture, and fabric choices that transformed humdrum or dated interiors into fresh, exciting places to live or visit. She also has been part of creating entirely new buildings that start their lives as welcoming and highly functional environments. The home we visited, under her guidance, is becoming a place all at once - drop dead gorgeous, warm and inviting, elegant and exciting, and high tech in function (while nothing screams "great big shiny piece of tech") - all this while remaining completely comfortable and livable. Still, for me, the best part of the visit was observing rooms full of men drop the work they were doing and hang on Janet's every word. There was no doubt who is running the show in this design project. Everyone there clearly had the highest respect for Janet and her work. Here are a couple of snaps I took during the visit. Janet was recommended to us by our contractor who had worked with her on another beach condo project. We gutted our entire beach condo and replaced everything from base and crown molding to doors, hardware, appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring, paint, doors and some wall renovations. Everything was selected by Janet and presented to us for our approval. The place turned out fantastic. The next phase from replacing some furniture, all new artwork, plants, and bedspreads and window coverings was coordinated and selected by Janet. Everyone who walks in the place is amazed at the transformation. Janet was easy to work with and we were so pleased with the beach place that we asked her to oversee the renovation of our Tampa penthouse. We loved what Janet had done with our beach place but the Tampa place was running a budget that was 5 times the beach budget and with a Tuscany theme rather than a beach theme. Janet transitioned perfectly into the new theme and was amazing in the way she picked up on our tastes. We debated on hiring an architect to design some intricate coffered ceilings as well as to design our media/theatre room. While we debated for a week, Janet provided us drawings of the ceilings and media/theatre room. Wow is all we could think. Not only had Janet captured what we had in mind, she also presented us other options and features we had not even thought of including a brick overlay of the main floor hallway to a brick barreled kitchen ceiling. We are so glad we didn’t get anyone else to design our home. Janet took a very basic penthouse and transformed it, in the words of one of our friends, “into a place that looks like it came out of a magazine”. The entire project came together as Janet selected all paints, granites, tiles, onyx, marble, carpet, window coverings, furniture, bedspreads, light fixtures, artwork, plants, etc. Janet is so reasonable and pleasant. You would not go wrong having her transform your home, office, or other living area no matter your taste or style.

I work for an Electrical Contractor in their engineering division. Recently a decision was made to expand our engineering division into an area of our current office building that was being used for storage. An architect was hired to design the space and we contracted with Janet Ott to handle all of our interior finishes. Because the majority of our clients are architects and they visit often, we wanted a crisp, clean look but not too ultramodern or over the top. Our desire was a combination of wood and carpeted floors, granite counter tops in high profile areas and brushed natural metal finishes. Over the course of several months, Janet worked on developing different ideas. She selected different materials and colors for floors, paint colors, counter top materials all of which were presented on multiple color boards for review and discussion. This made the final selection so much easier. Janet was very open minded to our comments and ideas, agreeing with some and disagreeing with others. She definitely understood what we were looking for and worked hard on keeping us on course when we began to stray. The finished office turned out fantastic. We are the envy of others who work in other parts of our building and we continue to get great complements on our new space by visitors. All in all working with Janet was a great experience. We would recommend her to anyone planning on a project of their own.

Janet decorated 2 houses for me and I couldn't have been happier with her choices. She listened to what we wanted, brought coordinated samples, and took me to relevant vendors to make final choices. She matched my pace, which was to get finished in as short a time as possible. However, I know others she's worked with who have difficulty making decisions and Janet seemed to have all the patience in the world. I've also been in a position to see projects and speak with some of her commercial clients who have been very satisfied.

Janet is lovely to work with. She allows you to express your desires and she works from there. Her design decisions are practical and functional yet have that 'designer' touch. Janet leaves it up to the consumer if they want high end or not. She can work with any budget. Two and a half bathrooms done, and onto the master bedroom we go!

Contract Furniture, Inc. has been working with Janet Ott for many years. Her projects always go well, they are on time and within budget. We have worked on a wide variety of projects with Ms. Ott, from high end residential projects, assisted living facilities, banks and corporate offices; to name a few. Her education at Ringling and vast experience show through time and again, she has a keen eye for design and her attention to detail is second to none. She sweats the details so her clients don't have to!

Janet Ott was hired to design the interior of our condo renovation She was superb. She was excellent at providing us with enough options without overwhelming us with choices. We still love the work she did and wouldl definitely hire her again.

Janet Ott is the best interior designer 5 Star plus - we used her to remodel our home and I used her to remodel my commercial restaurants. Janet is a quality and price focused professional - she has a great eye for color, fabrics, furniture and room feel.
