I have remodeled homes several times and this has been the best experience I have had. The working area was always kept very clean, and everyone who entered my home, was very respectful and kind. When I would text Jay or Christine, I would get a return text or phone call immediately. I am so very happy with the outcome and will definitely use them for future projects.

We've had numerous house improvement projects with Terravest. The work has been excellent, usually done ahead of estimated timelines. Any overruns are justified and fully explained (and usually caused by some change that we asked for). Jay is very proactive and keeps us informed of pending issues/delays or an option we might want to consider. Other than work done by TerraVest itself, Jay is always helpful in suggesting specialists to help with other projects. He responds quickly. His crews are very 'user-friendly' and are courteous, thoughtful, hard-working, and all around nice guys. Home improvement contractors are incredibly busy and still face some supply issues, but I can truthfully say that Jay has gone out of his way to help with our projects. They often were not the biggest project, but he treated us as if they just as important as a custom home build. Since we are rural that means a lot as many contractors won't even come make an estimate.

I am thrilled with the stairway renovation Terravest completed for me, it turned out even better than I could have imagined! The whole team was professional and personable, and the work they did was absolutely meticulous. They were quick to respond to all questions and attention was paid to every detail. All that aside, they are just great people to have around! I will not hesitate to call them again when I dream up the next thing. Terravest gets an enthusiastic recommendation from me.

The Terravest team removed our gas fireplace and replaced it with a large window. The work included re-carpeting living room and stairs, rerouting some electrical wiring and repairing and repainting the affected walls. The work was done with minimal disruption to our daily lives. The workers were polite and highly professional. Even during the demolition phase of the project no work related debris escaped the sealed work area. Delays due to supply chain issues were minimal and the single item that had to be replaced due to a manufacturing defect was swiftly and easily handled by the Terravest team. This is the second project that Terravest has done for us and, if there are future projects, they will be the first people we call.

Our recent experience with J. & Christine dba Terravest Custom Homes was nothing less than great. They did their best to get things done exactly as we wanted. They were fair, honest, and very easy to work with. If you have a project you are planning, you can’t do any better than to work with Terravest. Our project was to finish a basement from bare concrete to livable space, obviously a big job. Jay and Christine were able to start the project quickly and came in under the original estimate by about 5%. The estimate was higher than some others we got from local remodel contractors, but the other contractors had year long lead times and would not provide a solid estimate based on fluctuation in material prices. Buying material in bulk up front meant our project’s costs were very predictable. Lots of variables go into a quote like ours and they are well explained in the quote/contract documents. Payments are made according to a checkpoint schedule known ahead of time. Far as quality goes, we’re very happy with how the basement turned out. Jay and Christine are fanatical about doing things the right way and their workers are competent and commendably quick. Our project took about 10 weeks solid, but it was a steady tempo throughout and I can’t really see how it could have gone faster. I would definitely put them top of the list for remodel and new-finishing work. Not specific to Terravest: if you work from home like I do, I’d recommend alternative work arrangements for the length of the project. If you have a dog, definitely think hard about how it will tolerate power tool noise. In hindsight, I should have worked at a friend or family members house during noisy days and brought the dog with me.
