We rebuilt our home after the Tubbs fire, and we could not have done it without her expertise. Julia helped us with designing our new home and the whole experience was very positive and we could not be more thrilled with the overall outcome. She is a great listener, truly wants to understand the customer's wishes and then offers up her vast experience, advice and great options to choose from. Because she invested time to get to know us and our style, it was then so much easier and faster down the road to make choices and decisions. Julia is very responsive and proactive. Timing wise and work product wise all was to our full satisfaction. We were also impressed how often she came to our new home, brought sample, gave us advice and options, and even joined us on multiple visits to suppliers so we would really see and choose what we like best. And often, her proposals and choices were simply the best. As a result, the whole home looks so wonderful as she approached it very holistically and all makes sense, whether it is kitchen counter tops, floors, tiles, colors, curtains, cabinets, sinks, faucets and and and! Julia is the utmost professional in her industry. We had a set budget and only 5 months to work with before we moved and she made it a seamless transition. We met when I was 9 months pregnant and I really needed her to take the lead through this project as I was taking care of my toddler and a newborn. She reviewed by interior design boards that I sent her nailed all her selections she proposed to me. She also formed a great relationship with our contractor which was very helpful. She is a lovely individual with a kind and warm spirit and was able to transform an outdated home into my dream house!

I worked with Julie on the updating of a home we purchased in Sonoma. Julia was a pleasure to work with. In a couple of months, Julia had furnished the house (all pieces were at house), had the full house painted, installed shades/window coverings on all the windows, had two televisions installed, ripped out carpet and put in new hardwood floors. Julia acted as the general contractor, designer and all around go to person. In addition to the major design work, she handled little things as well like mats for the outside doors/flower boxes, etc. She knows how to get things done and has many excellent contacts We made two shopping trips together so she could get a sense of our style. After that, we were able to do most of it on line. Julia generally presented three options for each decision and we went from there. She has a great eye and is decisive. We love everything she did. The Sonoma house is a second home for us and I have had Julia down to my main home to help out as well. I can not say enough positive things about Julia, her work ethic and her sense of style.

Julia Katrine is a very talented designer. She worked with me and my husband for a year on the remodeling of our Sonoma home. We couldn't have done our project without her. She understands the construction process, designed all our cabinets, wainscoting, flooring, paint, lighting, fabrics, outside trellises and many new furniture pieces. Her attention to detail saved us from making mistakes. We are thrilled with the outcome. Our use of Houzz idea books gave us great visuals. Her pricing is fair and she makes great use of her time. Plus she's fun to work with! I highly recommend her as the designer of the year.

Julia Katrine and her talented team were brought on board to upgrade and enhance the style, charm and character of our wine country home in Kenwood, CA. Being the 2nd owners of a rustic 3 bdrm/2 bath home which was built in 1978 without any upgrades, we wanted to give the place a fresh makeover and be fully furnished in 8 mos (we took ownership in January, 2015). With a great deal of wood on the floors, walls, and ceilings along with paisley wall paper, brass fixtures, linoleum, etc we had a long list of desired changes without a clear idea of where to start. Julia instantly invested time to understand our taste/style and immediately came up with recommendations for colors, textures, finishes, furnishings, etc. inside and out along with a project roadmap. Over the course of the next 8 months she transformed our home from a 70's 'cabin' look to a contemporary 'resort' space without compromising the spirit of the property. Julia, we could not be more pleased with the outcome...our friends & family couldn't agree more, Thank you!

Julia is an amazing interior designer who is both immensely talented and a consummate professional. I was so impressed with the work Julia did on my home in San Francisco several years ago that I recently hired her to work on my beach house in Los Angeles. This was a massive project as we completely gutted a 3700 square foot property. She personally designed every square inch, and it is beautiful. She can see the potential in a property that everyone else misses, and the end result is stunning to all. I highly recommend Julia Katrine Designs.

I've been beyond pleased with Julia Katrine Designs! I initially hired her to do a small project for my home remodel but have ended up using her services in almost all facets - paint colors, lighting, furniture choices, fixtures, flooring (including wood and tile) and overall design. She has an amazing eye and great taste but never tries to impose her style on me. She truly wants her clients to be happy and for their home to reflect what THEY want. She also has impressive knowledge of home construction and easily serves as a helpful go-between with contractors, when needed. Julia also has great contacts in the area, knows how to find great deals on quality items and services and she's also just plain fun to work with!

Kommenterade: Love the thick countertop. Any idea how thick it is?It's a 3/4" thick slab that was mitered at the edges to create a 6" thick looking countertop.
