I have worked with Karen Cronin Design for many years, including complete renovations to my home and Professional offices. Most recently for my home, Karen has specified new furniture, selected and managed specialized Contractors to refurbish stone floors and surfaces, repaint and replace wall coverings" She has the ability to get in your head and figure out what your looking for even if you can't quite articulate the goal --- just amazing! Karen is extremely knowledgeable and has designed numerous beautiful spaces for her clients. She listens, addresses their wants, needs and concerns as well as gently pushes them out of their comfort zone to achieve a look they never dreamed would be possible for their homes. Karen listened to what I wanted, honed in on what I needed, and then found ways to do both within my budget. She always provided multiple options and suggestions and then helped narrow them down to what best fit my aesthetic and provided both form and function.

Karen Cronin was a pleasure to work with on designing our dining room and living room in our home. We have small children and were looking for attractive, but functional furniture. She reviewed our emails thoroughly before our initial consultation. That gave us assurance that she wouldn't waste time in our process and that she was focused on delivering as soon as possible. She presented several ideas on pieces within our budget and dealt with the vendors for ordering and delivery. She secured significant discounts on all of the furniture we ordered. The real highlight was when she utilized her relationship with a local craftsman to build us a live edge dining room table that is the centerpiece of our dining room. She negotiated the price and we were able to chose the piece of wood he used to build the table. Nearly every person who walks into our dining room compliments our table. It is truly unique and fits with the overall design. We couldn't be happier with Karen's work and her contributions to our home that will surely last a lifetime. Thank you, Karen!

I cannot say enough positive things about Karen and her design work! Karen helped us update and redo four rooms in our 42 year old home. With great expertise, she helped us redo our laundry room and powder room and update our kitchen and family room. What a huge difference it has made! Karen immediately recognized our style and helped us select paint colors, wallpaper, flooring, furniture, and accessories. Karen is extremely organized, and she scheduled all of the work that was done! On a couple of occasions, she had workers return to fine tune their work. Karen is consistently very prompt with her work. Karen is a pleasure to work with, and I recommend her highly!

Karen was recommended to me by a friend who worked with her on a few redesign projects. I never worked with a designer in the past and had a great experience working with Karen. She is very professional, kind, patient and able to envision the end result. My '90s interior space needed major updating and Karen helped me accomplish that goal and I'm very happy with the results. She knows which suppliers are reputable and works directly with them on your behalf. Her confidence in decision-making helped me feel less stressed in making furniture purchases, etc. That help alone made the investment worth it. At the onset of the project, we knew that our home did not have a traditional layout and in it's current state, was not functioning for the needs of our family. Enter Karen. She made an overwhelming design task manageable and fun to design. She really took time to get to know us, our family's needs, and tastes. Listening is her strength and that she did. Our home doesn't feel as though it was someone else's style or full of the latest trends. It really reflects us and who we are as a family. I believe that Karen is able to do this because she really has a deep understanding of design and architecture. You are also never made to feel that you are just one of her many clients. She really was genuinely invested in the success of our project. Karen was also instrumental in suggesting vendors, interviewing and hiring architects and contractors. We were please with each and everyone. If there was ever an issue, (our project was done during major supply chain issues) Karen knew how to graciously intervene and have our needs met. I have hired interior designers for 50 years and this is the first time my designer has actually listened to me and also offer creative solutions In other words, Karen Cronin crafted a plan but built into it were measures to trade out a piece she selected for perhaps your nostalgia piece. I learned this in real time because my move and apartment design were done in the middle of a pandemic and supply chain shortages. Keeping an even temperament, Karen took on all the disruptions with alacrity. She traded out fabric selections and furniture selections when, after months of waiting, we discovered they simply were not going to arrive. So these were hardship conditions and Karen came through this with creativity and grace. Karen Cronin works in a meticulous detail oriented manner so much so, it's only now eight months after completion that I'm recognizing her mindset for wall covering, etc. Karen was following the Bauhaus design of my building and knew that in a building such as this, as she said, "You have to bring the glam in" And, boy she did not disappoint. My new home is spectacular!! Karen Cronin is simply the best interior designer around.

Karen is very professional and guided us through our kitchen remodel. She is knowledgeable and has her clients best interests all the way through the remodeling process. She was always easy to get in touch with and her communication skills were outstanding,

Karen is not only excellent at style & design, she also excels at understanding the scope, timeframe & budget of each project - which I personally feel is the most intimidating part of hiring a designer. She meets you at whatever point you are in the project & with whatever you want to keep in your design (which is not always easy - especially for clients with an "eclectic" aesthetic like me)! Karen helped me design and create the “bathroom oasis” that I imaged. From guidance on the room layout, to the materials selection and the contractor recommendations, everything came together. My bathroom went from dark and bland to a bright seaside inspired spa. We are looking forward to working with Karen on our next home update.

You won’t find a more professional caring hardworking individual than Karen. One of her main strengths besides her decorating skills is her ability to work with the client and appreciate the clients needs and tastes. Never will she attempt to push or strong arm her views on the client. She works extremely well in establishing the client goals and will bring many options to the table in order to make the “right” selection/choice. I have worked with Karen on many projects-laundry/mud room, kitchen remodel, powder room, furnishing outdoor living space, etc. She is amazing-super easy to work with and FAIR! She takes some time to figure you out-what you like and don't like, your personality, your vision (which I truly appreciate)-then everything just clicks. We hired Karen to help us transition from a large fully furnished 4BR house in a South Jersey neighborhood to a charming but small and tired 2BR condo in Old City that needed to be completely remodeled. I could not have found a better person to help us manage our move and create our new home. Working with Karen has been absolutely incredible! From the very beginning she had a great vision on how to make our new urban space feel both spacious and chic. Karen helped us consider what elements to keep from our former house (no small task!) and coordinated with the building in Philly to handle the move-in. She handled the arrangements for all deliveries and installations. All of her vendors, including the movers, kitchen and bath cabinetmakers, and stone cutters were top notch. Most importantly, however, I valued Karen's communication skills and knowledge of the industry. Her suggestions are thoughtful and insightful. She was very good at listening to us and I felt comfortable that our decisions were clear, informed and mutual. Our final outcome could not have turned out more perfectly. I absolutely love our new home and I continue to ask Karen for additional design suggestions and decorating ideas all the time! Karen Cronin was excellent in every respect, turning our shabby Fairmount townhouse into a chic city home. The townhouse came along with my husband when we married and has been rented out for the last thirty years. It was in sad, sad shape and both Karen and our contractor, Joel, strongly advised we sell it and buy new. But the TH is in a premier location, right in the heart of Fairmount and bigger than anything else we saw for sale. Anything equivalent cost a million or more. We asked Joel to take on the physical plant and Karen to coordinate the interiors. It was a total tear out. Karen and Joel worked excellently together. The house had to be steadied, have new heating and cooling, new plumbing...well, new everything. New windows, new windows cut into the walls, basically, we moved spaces to create more space because KAREN has an eye for opening up rooms. I like her choices and how she puts things together. I’m not very adventurous buying furniture so I need a designer who gives me a little push toward pieces that are a little more racy. She was happy to use old family stuff of mine as well. Altogether, Karen was a dream to work with. I recommend her totally and wholeheartedly.

Working with Karen was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. Karen got to know us, and listened to our loose plans for the space. She made very thoughtful suggestions all along the way. Her vision and the final outcome could not have turned out more perfectly. It's been over a year, and we still are in awe of the space. What a transformation! Karen is a very gifted designer. I have retained Karen Cronin on three significant projects. The most recent project was the move from my primary residence(4000 ft.² plus home) in South Jersey into my current residence (large two bedroom apartment at the Ritz residences in Philadelphia Pennsylvania). I am a divorced father of two. I own and run my own business. I work long hours and travel extensively. Bottom line-in a move like this I needed a tremendous amount of help, and based on my previous experience with Karen I had every confidence in her abilities. She exceeded my expectations. On the front end of the move Karen took responsibility to vet and retain movers. She supervised and coordinated the packing of my home, and the move. A stone the size of the home and the amount of furnishings very little was used in my new residence, which required that belongings and furnishings be donated or stored. Karen handled all of this. She was on site for the move out of my South Jersey residence, and coordinated with the building Philadelphia to handle the move-in. She had everything planned well in advance and it ran like clockwork. Because I was moving into a totally different style and size residence, Karen needed to completely design, furnish and accessorize my new residence. This required her to spend considerable time in advance designing, measuring and providing the options based upon my taste and pricing parameters. This move encompassed everything from furniture, to art, lighting, kitchen appliances, etc. Karen furnished and designed for the foyer, living room, dining room, family room and bedrooms. Karen coordinated with the vendors and my building to make arrangements for all deliveries and installation. She handled placement and timing of art. She worked with selected and vetted multiple vendors, including the movers, electricians, plumbers and carpenters. She has exemplary communication skills. We communicated multiple times daily. Based on our extensive experience together my trust in her judgment is absolute-yet, she took no steps without authority. I have absolutely no reservations about giving Karen complete access. She is completely trustworthy I have no reservations about recommending Karen Cronin. I can assure you I will be hiring her again. Completely dependable, the ultimate professional. Punctual. And, she has great taste. My place looks awesome. Constantly receive compliments. Can't go wrong with Karen Cronin!!! I would have no problem speaking with anyone considering Karen.
