Karlovec & Company Design Build/Remodel

We have used Karlovec & Co for several projects, large and small, in two different houses, going back about 10 years. They have always done excellent work and have sometimes accomplished what some would have considered impossible. I would recommend them highly and wholeheartedly.

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Jim and the Karlovec team over this past year and I have been impressed with the knowledge and passion that they bring to their business. Their remodeling projects are each beautiful and unique due to the way they employ the old fashioned craftsmanship that is rare in this industry these days. So many companies want to slap something together and make a quick buck, but Jim and his team know how to do design/build remodeling the right way, making sure you will enjoy that part of your home for decades to come. I've never met a remodeling team that takes such great care of their clients. Jim understands people, and he and his team go the extra mile and do the little things right that make a huge difference in the end.

There is no doubt Jim Karlovec genuinely cares about his clients and has such a high standard for design. Over the past 7 months, I have spent (2) - three day interactive conferences with Jim. At these round table meetings, I had the opportunity to take a behind the scenes look of how he runs his business. It was great to see the highest ethical standards at the center of every decision he makes. The way he cares for his clients, how he treats his trade partners & how he cares for his staff. As a fellow remodeling contractor, I would highly recommend the Karlovec Design team.

My husband and I are thrilled with our new master bathroom that was recently renovated by Karlovec and company! It was a 1970’s bathroom that was completely gutted and reconfigured. From the beginning it was such a pleasure to work with Jim Karlovec. He really got to know my style and what we wanted for the bathroom. The plans and budget he created were detailed, which really helped us (along with excellent reviews from friends who had worked with him) to decide upon hiring Karlovec and Company. Throughout the project I met several times with Jim and his designer to decide cabinet color, tile, vanity style, paint colors etc.; all of which was so much fun! I really was amazed at their enthusiasm and how much thought and effort they put into the project. Our floors and furniture were protected well throughout the work. The foreman, Lou, was a great on-site resource for my questions and helped me to visualize the final product. Everyone who worked in our home was polite and friendly. The work was completed on time! The communication throughout the project was terrific. The only changes to the budget were ones that I made, e.g. added a cabinet and a shower seat. Jim’s allowances for the project were generous, and so the work was completed within our budget. The finished bathroom is fantastic! It is beautiful and functions perfectly. I watch a lot of HGTV and know what I like, but there are wonderful elements in this bathroom that I never would have thought of on my own. I am looking forward to working with Karlovec and Company on future projects!

As a supplier of luxury cabinets, our customers are the builders and designers. We appreciated the thoroughness and follow-up that Jim does on every job. Resently we worked with Karlovec on a job in Cleveland Heights that is a gorgeous addition to a historical home. Customers expect a timely and beautiful finished project, and we can depend on him to make sure the end users get what they expect.

We hired Karlovec and Co. to remodel our kitchen when we moved into our new house during the summer of 2011. I can't say enough good things about our experience.
