We looked at several builders for our dream home on Lake Allure. We came back to Ryan because we talked to subcontractors of his that talked so highly of his building practices. We were not disappointed. Ryan always answered our calls or texts promptly and always knew exactly what to do in any situation we had. He’s truly a professional. We built a full custom home so I’m not gonna say there weren’t any hiccups along the way. There will be. Ryan is a full partner with you as your home progresses. I can honestly say I wouldn’t go back and pick another builder had I had the chance. When there is a concern Ryan addresses it and you come to a resolution together that both parties can agree on. We waited to put a review until we had been in our home for several months and we have been nothing but impressed with the quality of construction. Our new dream home is as efficient as it is beautiful! We’re so proud to have an Ideal Designs Custom Home. I promise you will be as well!

My wife and I completed our custom build with Ideal Designs in October and couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose them. We looked at a few builders and kept coming back to Ryan and the Ideal Team. There was just a feeling of comfort and trust whenever we met with Ryan, and it was reassuring to know that the company owner was making himself available to us. This was our first time building a house and the entire Ideal Team was helpful throughout the process (I ask a lot of questions & admittedly, can be a pain in the butt at times). We had a couple frustrations throughout but the process was certainly not the nightmare experience that so many others speak of when building a house (none of which built with Ideal). One reason I believe that contributes to smooth sailing is Ideal seems to have very little turnover in their subcontractors. Every sub that worked on our house has worked with them for years and many said Ideal demands quality works but also pays quickly and has processes in place. That’s a sign of a healthy business and good leadership in my opinion. Now, I’m not a construction guy so I couldn’t tell you technical construction details of our house but many friends have told me it’s built solid and Ideal didn’t cut corners to reduce costs. As our first family home, that’s reassuring to me as I want it to be safe and last for years to watch our daughter grow. Lastly, I intentionally waited to leave a review until after we got moved into our house and had to deal with some warranty fixes. I’ve heard too many stories of builders checking out once the keys are handed over, and I’m naturally a skeptic until you prove me otherwise. I can say that Ryan proved me otherwise and delivered on everything he said. He personally handled coordinating the warranty fixes himself and he continues to be responsive since the day we moved in. If you are considering a custom build, I encourage you to look at your options and you’d be doing yourself a favor if you took a look at Ideal Designs to give them a shot to earn your build.

We built a custom home with Ideal Designs and it was a stress free process. With my husband and I having no experience with home building/ownership we felt that Ryan helped guide us along the way. They build a high-end product and pay attention the small details that a lot of home builders don't. They always met their deadlines and kept us up to date throughout the process since we started to build while living out of state.

Ideal Designs built our home this past summer. We had a great experience with them from start to finish. Not only is our home beautiful, it is extremely well built. They have a great working relationship with their contractors and they work together like a well-oiled machine. They were transparent in all their dealings so there were no surprises at the end and I know the cost to build our home would have been much higher with any other builder. Ideal is a professional home builder that I would highly recommend to anyone.
