Every time I work with Lori on a design project, I can’t wait until the next project. We started with her totally renovating our primary bathroom and then she did two more bathrooms. Our last project was converting our small parlor and dining room into one large formal dining room that now seats twelve. She worked with her construction crew to remove columns and archways. They kept things clean and got it all done in time for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. Lori is innovative yet cost conscious. She comfortably eased me out of my comfort zone with fun tile and fabric patterns and funky lighting and mirrors. I respect and trust Lori so much that all the work was done while I was away.

After Lori did the interior design of my home, I knew I wanted her to make my new commercial office space stellar. Our lobby is comfortable but professional with deep teal green, distressed-leather wingback chairs, framed metal artwork, and a rug that ties all of the colors. Classic and timeless. It sets the right tone for the whole office. Our breakroom features a conference table for meetings and meals that converts into a ping-pong table for friendly competitions. The lime green chairs are modern and fun. She arranged and organized our reception area for the most space and efficiency. The file cabinets are hidden but are still convenient to get to. Lori is so easy to work with. Always pleasant and caring and determined to understand what we want and get it right.

We moved into a much larger home and sold all our old furniture. Lori was the perfect interior designer to help us start over. From the first day I met her, it was like talking to a dear friend. At the Dallas Market, we picked out a gorgeous custom-made poker table as a surprise for my husband. Now all his buddies want one. By knowing our favorite colors, hobbies and interests, she did an amazing job accessorizing our shelves with books and other decor. She updated our two drab stucco fireplaces with beautiful stone. Our kids love their new playroom. When neighbors walk by our home, they often comment on the stunning contemporary chandelier they can see through our window. It’s a showstopper. Lori is a joy to be around, always smiling and laughing. Our next project will be designing our outdoor living space, complete with a kitchen and fireplace.

I’ve worked with designers before who tried to push their own tastes on me and run up costs. Lori is 100 percent ethical and moral. We worked together on three homes over the years, including a total home renovation. On that project, she revised the architectural plans to add one more much-needed bathroom. Lori has a great capacity for listening and takes my ideas and makes them so much better. Like creating an equestrian-themed, cozy, Ralph Lauren-inspired study with gorgeous iron horse sculptures above the fireplace. She recommends ways to bump things up a notch without breaking the bank, like the beautiful, durable top-notch carpeting in our family retreat room. She designed the walk-in closet of my dreams, complete with leopard print carpeting, for a fraction of the cost of a commercial closet designer. I was regretting a large piece of artwork I purchased but then Lori recommended reframing it and I absolutely love it. We have so much fun together and I’m always recommending her.

Lori completely transformed our outdated master suite and kitchen. Gone are the ornate gilded mirrors, yellowed travertine tile and small, square shower. Our bathroom is now bright with clean lines, giving us the spa-like ambience we craved while her clever use of marble accent tiles created the custom look that we wanted. We also worked with Lori to update our kitchen with white quartz countertops, incorporating a unique stained butcher block in some areas to complement our white painted cabinets. Lori is very easy going and has a good working relationship with all her contractors while being firm when needed. Lori took the time to understand our likes and dislikes and by giving us a few options based on our personal style at each step of the process, she guaranteed that we wouldn’t be overwhelmed with choices. We are thrilled with the outcome!

Lori is an amazing asset when either doing a large remodel or updating a single room. She is very experienced and educated on current trends and can provide value no matter the desired decor style. Lori assisted me in choosing new flooring and coordinating paint colors for two bedrooms. With Loris help, I felt confident that my choices would be “current” for years to come. My kitchen was very angular and difficult to design. We also wanted a large island and a walk in pantry with counter space. Lori did a great job with the design and checked all of our must haves! We have tons of storage, the design is very functional, a large island, and a coffee bar. Lori was also very helpful in picking out the center quartz showpiece. With such a big investment we really wanted to make sure the piece fit in the space and set off the design. Great experience working with Lori!

We have worked with Lori and the Bellisa Design team on various projects over the past several years. In 2011, Lori coordinated the update of our game/family room. We asked her to bring in a more modern aesthetic while maintaining continuity with the overall interior design of the home. She did a wonderful job coordinating the design styles. She selected fabrics to re-upholster some of our existing furniture and worked in new pieces as well. She also brought in a cabinet maker who modified an existing entertainment cabinet to fit a new flat screen tv with added storage. Her design was innovative and functional too. In 2013 we had Lori complete updates in our daughter’s room as she grew from middle to high school. She brought in a custom cornice board with a sheer roman shade to coordinate with the new bedding along with bright canvas art and a lighted tree to illuminate the corner from behind the bed. Everything looked great and well put together. In 2017 Lori and her team updated another children’s bedroom which we converted to a guest room. She custom designed a new roman shade to coordinate with the hand-selected bedding as well as the two complimentary wallpaper patterns for the bath areas. The design was very cohesive and fresh. She also installed wood flooring and decorated our game/family room for Christmas 2018 when we had our home on the Make-A-Wish Foundation Holiday Home Tour. She shopped for the tree and decorations and installed everything “in kind.” We later purchased the tree and accessories as they make a beautiful addition to our home holiday decor. As recently as this past summer, we asked Lori and her team to help us do some minor updates in our master bath and to also help us replace our closet carpet. Lori coordinated the carpet install to work with a new rug going into the bath and helped us select lighting and artwork. She also modified an existing window treatment to be more on-trend. A relatively small project that Lori gave her full attention and time which is always much appreciated. Lori listens to what we want and delivers our vision each time which is why we continue to work with her and Bellisa Design.

Lori and her team were professional and so easy to work with. We remodeled 3 bathrooms over a two month period. I am so happy with the finished results.

Bellisa Design is THE BEST! We hired Lori last summer to help us furnish a good portion of our house. We had just moved to the area and were starting from scratch when it came to furniture and the overall design & layout of our home. From the minute I spoke with Lori on the phone, I knew she'd be the perfect fit. She brought great ideas to our initial call, was easy to talk to and really clear about how the process would work. In terms of the project, I loved Lori's vision from the start. She nailed my style and selected unique pieces that were on-trend, yet functional and practical (we have 3 kids). I loved that she offered multiple options and then worked with me to narrow down picks. She was great at taking feedback, brought interesting ideas and very communicative about the process, status & budget. She worked to ensure that every last detail was taken care of. My favorite part was what she did in our kitchen. She transformed an awkward eat-in area to one of my favorite parts of the house. She created a built-in seating area and cabinets that made the space functional and a design centerpiece of the house. Our kids love it and our friends always compliment her work! Lori really is one-of-a-kind. Not only is her work top-notch, but she genuinely cares about her clients and puts her all into every project. I will definitely be working with Lori on future projects!!

I recently underwent a remodel in my home directly with a general contractor/cabinet maker without the benefit of an interior designer planning and managing the project. I reached out to Lori with Bellisa Design for several consultations to seek her assistance in finalizing some of the decisions that needed to be made (paint, tile, hardware, lighting and layout). I must have asked her a hundred questions! I appreciated her willingness to work with me for just a few sessions and really valued her input – it certainly made for a better end product. Lori was very professional, and it felt like she cared about my home. Remodeling can be stressful, and I always felt better (and slept better!) following her visits. I highly recommend Lori for interior design advice and hope I have the opportunity to work with her again.
