Maurice’s Furnishings is a family owned and operated business that had its humble beginnings as a small antique shop in Juno Beach, Florida in 1981. Maurice Jonker Sr. had brought his family to the United States from his native Holland to start a business and pursue the American dream. Over the years, Maurice’s Olde World Furnishings evolved from selling European pine antique furniture and accessories to also include their own line of high quality antique reproductions. Today, the company is run by Maurice Jonker Jr who heads up operations in the main showroom in Jupiter, Florida. Maurice Sr. and his wife Tony are still very much involved in the operations of the business. Daughter Natasja, daughter-in-law, Wendy also work for the showroom in Jupiter, FL. Maurice’s builds their furniture at their own production facility located in Port St. Lucie, FL . Highly skilled craftsmen work on client projects using only solid wood construction and time honored furniture building techniques. Clients may choose from Maurice’s wide selection of production furniture or are assisted in designing the perfect piece for their setting. Our ability to collaborate with clients and their designers, architects and builders to create unique and beautiful cabinetry keeps our production schedule busy. Maurice has traveled around the world to hand select reclaimed wood timbers for some special custom projects. Maurice is personally involved in every custom project. We go above and beyond to please our clients and to create a beautiful product that will be cherished for many years.

I have had the pleasure of working with Maurice's Olde World Furnishings for over five years now. The have made the majority of the furniture in my house. Every time I worked with them, I was given the same attention to detail and good service as the first time. Each piece was created to a perfect size for my home, and in the choice of wood and color I wanted. The quality of the furniture is very high, thick wood, beautiful joints, with all the details your imagination can come up with. I have three bedroom sets; beds with matching nightstands, bureaus, and armoires. An amazing closet door that looks like a hutch instead of a door was made so precisely that you can barely see that it could open. Most people walk by it thinking it is a piece of furniture. They've made items for me from a simple small side table, to a very large oversized desk. When I asked if they could make a simple base to hold a sculpture, they called the artist to discuss the weight of the sculpture and how he wanted to mount the piece onto the base. The artist was impressed with the calls and was given the exact dimensions of the base so he could make a mock up to see how he would mount the piece permanently when he delivered it. If you are looking for something well made, with beautiful details and finishes, you should make an appointment with Maurice's people and see what they can do for you. You won't be disappointed, that's for sure.
